I agree. I always find it strange when they make Flash look like a bodybuilder... He's a scientist, not a pro wrestler. It's ok if he's lean, the damage he does comes from the speed at which he throws punches.

Also I think the wingtips make the outfit look a bit cheesy/cartoony but I can't see Flash without them :/ It'll be interesting to see how they handle his costume.

First, Neil Patrick Harris would make a perfect flash.
Second, the costume.

He should not be wearing spandex, or armor for that matter. He should have a red outfit with some extra padding/protection in his shoulders, mask, chest, elbows, knees, etc. he should have gold sneakers and a gold belt, and a red jacket with a gold lightning bolt on it. His mask should cover more of his face also. The wings can be painted on his mask, not sticking out of it.

I actually sort of like the "police band radio" concept for the wings, though that doesn't require the actual tangible wings.

I think Flash is the one hero that can get away with a normal non armor suit. He can dodge bullets and knives.

They would not look silly. It's an essential part to his costume.

The trunks are outdated. Completely different thing with Flash.

I disagree, Superman's suit looks bland without them.

I don't care about the trunks either way, however Flashs bolts being absent would make him look unbalanced.

I couldn't disagree more.

The trunks were outdated. The MoS suit appears incredible without them.

Yeah, I couldn't give less of a **** about the trunks. I still don't understand why every other superhero character's costume can be updated and warped in a million different ways but making a couple of tweaks to Superman's suit so he doesn't look like a grown man in pajamas is somehow sacrilege.

Just the humor and the look somewhat. I cant take him serious, meaning i dont want Flash to be a 100 percent goofball. And Harris doesn't seem like this fit guy who can kick major ass.

He has a bit of it down but i would only cast him if they were going for a lighter, more comedic approach to the whole team/movie.

Thank you!

Supes was the only remaining superhero sporting the undies on film. Quite frankly, it looked downright silly. I'm grateful for The Nolans, Goyer and Snyder imposing more of a Sci-Fi element to Superman. He desperately needed it.

I'll be honest with you DoomsdayApex, the trubkless look for Superman does not bother me as much as it did at first . It's just odd after seeing Superman in virtually the same costume for 70+ years, to get used to a new look. But I am starting to like the Smallville Season 11 and MOS movie costumes. The New 52 costume would look better if it did not look like armor.

Now back to the Flash, I think Scott Porter would make a good Barry.

Yeah, it was time for an upgrade. The purists can go cry in a corner about it if they want, but I'd rather have a Superman that people don't laugh at.

Anyway, the Flash... Scott Porter is one of those actors who I'm not all that familiar with, but he seems to have that bridesmaid thing going on with these characters. He's suggested on these boards for damn near every superhero and I think has tested for a number of them but has never landed the role.
