As far as the overall hate goes... Well, the media has hated the Magic for awhile now. Specifically, after the Magic beat Cleveland in the ECF and ruined the media's Kobe v. LeBron Finals. The media has had an agenda to get Dwight out of Orlando, and is happy to see it happen. So they aren't going to perpetuate the hate that LeBron got.

As far as Dwight v. LeBron - as much as I hate LeBron for what he did, at least he played out his contract and left as a free agent. Although, it wasn't LeBron leaving that I hated (I also hold no grudge towards Shaq for leaving either) it was his antics - holding Cleveland hostage, "The Decision", "not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4...", and players colluding on where superstars will and won't play - but LeBron played out his contract and left as a free agent, perfectly within his rights. Dwight whined, got coaches fired, opted IN, complained about opting in, demanded more trades, bad mouthed the Magic organization publically, killed his trade value and any leverage Orlando had, all while trying to say he loved Orlando and didn't want to leave.

Dwight can kiss my ass, and honestly, I don't really even care about LeBron anymore. He shook his "can't win a title" criticism with his post season performance, and just didn't handle his departure nearly as bad as Dwight did. I still don't like LeBron or Miami, but after seeing Dwight, the hate is subsiding.
Hey! I believe there is an illuminati, I believe Obama is going to be the next USA President by design, I believe there is going to be an Amero, but your conspiracy takes the cake. How the bleep does the media hate Orlando? Blame your freakin GM who made the dumbest of trades. No way do I buy that conspiracy.

I'm not exactly the biggest Kobe fan but how exactly does Kleiza and Patty Mills get honorable mention but not Kobe?

I see someone moved that post from above. It must have been a spam bot. I really didn't think they would have one on SHH.

How is that a legit question? They were promoting a marriage site. I don't even think a question was asked.

Did you mean Joe Ingles? Because Joe Ingles would have made that list for being the most consistent all round player on a team which featured the tourney's leading PPG guy...

Honestly, you could argue he played a better overall tourney than Mills. Mills just had a few big explosions (including one in which he pretty much single-handedly won us the Russian game...), whereas Ingles was solid throughout the whole tourney.

If we had a coach who wasn't a dumbass and was actually familiar with how guys play now, rather than a decade ago when he last saw some of them play (amongst other issues Brett Brown has), we'd have had a better start to the Olympics and wouldn't have been playing the US until we got to a medal game...

Kobe meanwhile was only playing around a dozen minutes and wasn't really a huge part of the US' success.

Hmmm. Well, I would say he becomes the 2nd scoring option right behind Kobe, and he usurps Paul Gasol as the primary scoring option on the low block. h

So it becomes Kobe scoring option 1, Howard scoring option 2, Nash scoring option 3, and Gasol scoring option 4.

Anytime Paul Gasol is your 4th best scoring option? You're gonna have an insane high octane offense.

Howard will also help with his interior rebounding and shot blocking of course, so between him and Gasol, the Lakers front line will be solid. Should be an interesting season watching the Lakers to see how Kobe and Gasol blend in with their new teammates in Howard and Nash. It may take a couple of months before everyone is comfortable and on the same page.

He will blanket the paint, meaning very little inside scoring for opposing teams. With Nash at point they will now always have a man open to score if they rotate it well, and Howard to pound the glass on missed shots and get those easy second point opportunities. I never thought we'd get Howard and keep pau, so we ended up with one of the strongest teams I've seen in years. On paper they should be the strongest team out there

The Western Conference Finals are going to be FIRE. Lakers/Thunder is going to be an amazing series. If the Spurs play as well as they did last season and maybe if the Clippers can get their s*** together, oh man. Unfortunately, that means my Mavericks are going to get torn to shreds again....

Dirk, please leave and get another ring before you retire.

Heat starting five:
PG: Rio
SG: Wade
SF: Lebron
PF: Bosh
C: Pittman

Bench:
Haslem
Miller
Allen
Lewis
Cole
Battier
Jones
Anthony

Very deep. Still lacks the traditional big man, but that won't matter. Heat's defensive system is built on quick rotations.

Heat are definitely a shoe-in next year for the Eastern Conference. The Celtics can upset, but I doubt it. If Derrick Rose stays healthy, the Bulls could upset as well. Again, doubtful.

Goodness, that Heat team.

Unfortunately, the Bulls aren't going scare anyone this upcoming year. Rose might play next year, but I'm guessing he won't really back until the following year.
