I think it'd be really awesome if they had some film footage from their camera of Heath messing with his skateboard on set

Although I might start crying

Extended cut of Alfred's TDKR scenes so that we can cry even more.

"The Dark Knight Trilogy" is such a pretentious title, I'm leaning more towards "RISES: The Dark Batman Knight Begins".

That's much better.

I just hope there are updated documentaries. Batman '89 had some an awesome documentary on the history of Batman, but it's obviously very outdated. A new one up to 2012 would be awesome.

Yeah some fresh material would be good on this, certainly needs something about the icon of Batman within the collection as well as the films.

Ohhhh that does look good (debateable if real though) however my eyes are firmly on a trilogy boxset.

I have high expectations for the limited edition boxset. It's one of the most critically and publicly loved trilogies and WB have a good track record with limited edition boxsets so I'm hoping for something special.

I guess I may be in the minority who just wants a nice, good looking box set with 3 individual (but matching) blu-ray cases (Kinda like Raimi's Spider-man trilogy on blu) with the outter box cover having art with all the villains and an awesome image of Batman. Not into the gimmicky packaging of the mask and/or bat-pod.

A Special Feature where Christopher Nolan personally apologizes for how bad TDKR was.

Looks sweet.. But.. where would the discs go?

I can't see something like that happening. The packaging looks like it would take way too much time (And $$$) to produce.

I think the packaging needs more tangerines.

Default THE DARK KNIGHT RISES - Home Video (Blu-Ray/DVD) Release Thread

Might as well start this thread up now considering there is already a Trilogy collection thread. So, the word around town is TDKR will hit Blu-ray and DVD store shelves either on the 7th or 9th of December. Blu-Ray.com (Reliable source) have a placeholder cover which you can view in the spoiler tags below!

Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:

So, talk about the home video release below.

EDIT: Fan-Made covers are welcome to be shown here (as long as you don't claim them to be official)

I hope they get a better cover for the Blu-Ray. I'd like one with Catwoman on it.

The covers can't get any worse than the TDK one. Can it? Can it?

i also hope WB learned from their previous mistakes and convert TDKR from it's 35mm source for the 35mm scenes and the Imax scenes from it's Imax source.

How far in advance are the extras detailed?

I really hope Nolan/WB delivers something special for all the peoplewho have followed this trilogy so closely. I hope he just goes "what the hell let them see everything".

But I have a feeling we may just get the small featurettes
