Yeah, I'm expecting either ME3 or AC3 to be GOTY. There's not much competition unless Halo 4 is absolutely godlike.

Unless Star Child is actually controlling the Animus.

I can't wait for AC3. Pre-ordered and got that metal case. I wonder if they are going to do the same thing they did with AC2 and have more games with Connor. I hope not...

I was real disappointed BioShock got pushed back... can't imagine why it was since its been in development for years, unless it was for multiplayer

Agreed. Come start of the year I would have said Infinite was a shoe-in but that got pushed back to next year.

I still hate the occasionally stupid long checkpoints on ME Insanity (all games) but the Priority Tuchanka mission really reminded me why I love this game. The Krogan/Salarian issue with the genophage was resolved very well (Paragon having destroyed Maelon's data) with Wrex and Mordin putting in great performances (probably not the right word to use here lol).

So I guess Bioware are capable of resolving issues well. Have to wait and see just how bad the overall ending is. This situation kind of reminds me of Lost where everything that was resolved throughout the seasons before the final episode I thought was handled very satisfactorily before they wimp out right at the end and undermine the whole thing (although it's still good & way above average TV).

No. Money issue this month.

So...as much i LOOOVE ME 3, i think i'm gonna have to go with Dawnguard first. It's about 20 hours and Leviathan is only going to be about 3-4 hours.

I'll get Leviathan with my next paycheck.

The ending-with the EC- is NOT bad per se, in my opinion.

I think the word is lacking. It doesn't take away the fact that 99% of the game is that damn good. It's just stumble a bit at the end.

It's my personal opnion anyway.

Hopefully I think the same when I get there. Just got to 1st encounter with Kai Leng. Another great scene with Thane. Really love some of these characters.

Playing through the series again. About halfway through ME2. Is the new extended ending for ME3 any good? Is it game play or just a cinematic?

Just cinematics. Now it makes sense why your teammates are aboard the Normandy, Shepard actually questions the stupid AI and doesn't swallow his crap and some picture slides and dialogue, Dragon Age Origins style, that tell you what happened to the other races.

Still not ideal, but a whole lot better than the regular ending.

Wow, that's awesome. (post 38)

I've seen Jack, Wrex, Mordin & Thane have very satisfactory appearances in ME3 so far (& bumped into Miranda & Kasumi too but not done much with them yet). Hopefully everyone is featured with a good cameo at the very least. It's great even to see background characters like Kirrahe and David & be thankful I bothered making sure they were ok in earlier games. Thanks to Paladin-Hoss for making sure I kept everyone alive!

I still haven't gotten Dawnguard either. But then, I've never even beaten Skyrim, and I've had it since launch.

I'm glad I only paid $20 for it.

They're not really in the style of DAO. DAO had all still-images, one per area, and text with no voice-over.

I played Skyrim off and on for about two, maybe three weeks when I got it at launch. Haven't played since. I've got a "stay-cation" coming up soon, perhaps I'll try and jump back into that then.

Back on topic, when you import your ME2 Shepard into ME3, are you able to adjust anything - looks, stats, or is all of that locked?

You picked the Destroy ending didn't you? You got the scene where she refuses to put Shep's name on the wall? Tali's coming for Shepard at the end of that one, no need to head canon.

Oh yeah, definitely. But I would have atleast liked to have seen the reunion. Friggin' Bioware & their generic "Lel hurro muz di 2 be tragk" ending, we're lucky we got the breath scene. :/

Considering the love interest is all smiles in that particular ending the scene really isn't tragic, its pretty optimistic:

The LI refuses to give up on Shepard and their paths are set back towards one another and we know all will be well. That was enough I thought, I would have personally expanded the breath scene a little but I don't think another LI sequence needed (especially since there were in total like 2-3 different goodbye's to that relationship by the time the game wraps up). Maybe I've just been desensitized by stuff like Battlestar or Dragon Age Origins and how certain relationships ended there that I can't really see "hope and promised reunion" as tragic.

Meh I think "hope and promised reunion" is a bit of a stretch.

I don't really see how, since that's what is being pretty much directly stated by the ending.

Love interest does not believe Shepard is dead = Hope

Shepard is alive in the Destroy ending = They will be reunited.

In contrast with the memorial sequence in the other two endings wherein the focus is on mourning Shepard.
