Default Getting ready for T:TDW - What to read?

As Malekith is one of the confirmed baddies for The Dark World, I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on what comics to read as prep for the movie?

I'm fairly new to Thor comics. The only thing I've read is the Thor Omnibus from JMS' run.

Not really sure what the movie's based on. You could always just read the Simonson run, that's where Malekith originated, and the whole thing's pretty awesome

From a strictly storytelling standpoint, Simson was the best Thor writer ever in my opinion.

Simonson is next on the list then. Well, after The Ultimates 1 and 2.

I must confess that of all the characters, Ive read Thor the least. Other than the post-Siege Loki-centric JIM run, its been a long while since I read his stuff. Suggestions? Was Simonson's run more mythological or more cosmic/scifi?

Both, sort of. But it's THE definitive run on the character, and it looks like it's where the movie's plot is coming from

That's another thing I loved about Simson's Thor run, he was able to blend the mythological and cosmic aspect of Thor so well.

Yes, if I'm not mistaken is indeed a Walt Simonson creation.
