One of the things that excited me most about the announcement of GotG was the chance to see tons of alien races in cameos.
Before you chide me for asking for an overstuffed movie, think about how many alien races we saw in Star Wars. Imagine, if the Guardians in their travels, had to stop at a Kree Outpost, or ran into a Skrull imposter, or any number of other possibilities. More than any other movie, I think this really opens up the Marvel Universe.

The Kree is the race that I expect them to spend some time on. I could see a Skrull and a Shi'ar etc showing up here and there as extras ala Star Wars, but the Kree just fits into the movieverse so naturally (most of the Guardians started off as Kree prisoners in Conquest, Star-Lord has his fancy Kree guns, and all roads should lead to Ms Marvel
)

Oh and if they do have a bunch of background aliens they should stick a Chitauri somewhere in there. Might as well

I definitely can see them working in a Mos Eisley Cantina or DS9 Promenade scene here and there.

Both sets of the GOTG worked pretty extensively against the Badoon, so I wouldn't be surprised to see them figuring prominently in the movie. And even though Feige has said they can use Skrulls, I'm not sure they're ready to use them yet, if at all. But I'd think the Kree are a definite. Maybe even the Kree-Phalanx war could be shown.

yeah just have some kree soldiers patrolling while the gotg are laying low. but yeah we should get lots of aliens in this, also i want to see lots of space and ships. so a ds9 type space station is a good idea, best of everything i wanted to see, ships aliens and space. and finally some really cool planets.

If they're based out of Knowhere like in the comics then we'll definitely get plenty of scenes like the Mos Eisley type cantina scene, given just how many different alien races live on Knowhere.

As long as ALF is in this, I'm good. And of them Greedos. That would be cool.

Re: Alien races in Guardians of the Galaxy
I believe another studio owns Alf.

well its kind of interesting. The team consists of quite a lot of earthlings. Or, y'know people originating from earth at least. More than one would think...
Drax, Peter Quill, Mantis, Moondragon, Jack Flag. And when I say "more than one would think" I mean... like the MCU up til now shows no evidence of humans/earthlings in space. Kinda gives one a sneaking suspicion that time travel may be involved. That the film may be set in a not too distant future. Maybe the GotG's goal will be to travel back in time to warn The Avengers of the impending doom of Thanos.

Here's a question, since both GoTG and Thor:TDW deal with cosmic side of the Marvel Univ. how do aliens in the nine realms interact with other alien species in GoTG movie ?

Therefore, they would probably interact in a way that best suits their interests. To answer your question you might just look at how Loki interacts with alien life in The Avengers.

It's easier for example to have Drax be an Eternal who's looking to get revenge for his family's death than a dead real estate agent/ saxophone player who Thanos's grandfather revived and turned into a super assassin after his grand-son blew the family to hell on a random visit to Earth. Jack Flag I just don't see in this film or any film at all.

I hope the Skrulls show up, atleast in the background showing that they DO exist in the MCU.
