But when we're talking numbers and $$$, adjusting for inflation is more accurate as that is what the gross would be in today's terms.

Still, it only proves one thing, that after all these years, Batman 89 is a hell of a film, was innovative, in much the same way STM was and proves that a Batman film stands up to anything today's directors and writers and film makers can accomplish on screen with a superhero film!

I always remember that feeling of Batman in B89 being the true Batman and how the comics were trying to mimic him.

I felt Christian Bale was a better Bruce Wayne but Keaton was the better Batman
Kevin Convoy beats both...

Conroy is the best Batman but it's only voice, that's only a small part of it.

Keaton and Bale, I go back and forth on who was the better Batman.

Bale is the best Bruce Wayne by far. Even though I liked Keaton then Kilmer in the role (in that order).

Was Kilmer really that bad of a Bruce Wayne. He's underrated imo.

I liked Kilmer a lot as Bruce Wayne. I just didn't like him as Batman. That's why for Bruce's I put Bale, Keaton then Kilmer in that order. I liked Keaton as Wayne SLIGHTLY over Kilmer in terms of performance but Kilmer actually looked more like Bruce Wayne.

Kilmer's interpretation is something I like to see more of. A haunted and shattered man who tries to live a life through his crippling pain/memories and with the help of others, can learn to feel human again.

They should do a director's cut. The movie would have been much more balanced with those darker scenes.

The whole subplot of the guilt Bruce felt about his parents murder was completely eradicated with that deleted scene cut

i gotta say, to a certain extent i think this movie still holds up rather well. what really helps is the setting and scenery because of the era mix.

this movie holds a special place in my heart

Those gifs make me really excited to see another take on The Joker in a movie. Ledger's performance was awesome, but he wasn't quite such a snappy showman, nor did he have a branded helicopter!

I never noticed this before either. Like the purple paint on Joker's neck during his reveal to Grissom, it cannot be unseen.
