The freckles aren't the problem. Not wearing a bra or any breast support is. So is the mesh fabric in the back of the dress (saw it on another site) that implies she wasn't wearing any kind of panties. And the dress looks like a nightgown. The makeup is nice, though.

What's sad is that you can tell by her good behavior as of late, she really wants everyone to like this TV movie. She took time to clean up and do some softball interviews, more than what she normally does. She's looking for approval. Which is OK, because it means that somewhere deep down, she still cares about something. But to see her hopes get up and knowing that whatever she did will be ridiculed? I kind of feel bad for her. Lindsay's a total screw-up, but she's still human. Too bad she and those around her can't seem to ever get anything on track for her.

Damn! That's a lot of freckles...

To be fair, she is looking the best here that she has been in a long time. If she could just stop doing daft things so often...

So what's the verdict on "Liz and Dick"? Anybody here seen it?

Was it any good? How is Lindsay Lohan in it?

Liz a.d dick premiered last night and as expected she was not in any way a revelation but she had glimpses of her former self. In the movie which were unexpected.

But the bigger question is whether she was anything like Liz Taylor, not Lindsay Lohan pretending to be her.

My personal opinion is that she did not do a good job portraying another person. Elizabeth Taylor had a deep voice but Lindsay was not able to affect that voice at all. It was more like Lindsay dressing up like Liz as if she was going to a fancy dress party.

Not during the time frame Lohan was portraying her. Or, at all really. Kim Novak had a deep voice, if we're to go with another studio-era star/sex symbol. Taylor had a girlish, high voice with a slight British inflection.

Her voice deepened towards the end of her life, like everyone else's does/will do, but not enough to call it a deep voice.

Lindsay was always overrated as an actress so it was no surprise that she made a terrible Liz Taylor. The movie itself was pretty boring and unwatchable due to an awful screenplay, direction and soudtrack. I wish Lohan well in her personal life but I hope she isn't ever cast in a film I want to see because it's clear that she is one of those teen actresses who can't play an adult .

She probably would have been more suited playing Joan Crawford.

she can't play an adult, nor can she actually behave like a real adult, apparently.

She can't behave like an adult, and can't play an adult, so all that's left is to star in an adult movie.

Even the ratings for the movie were a disapointment. 3.5mil aint bad but Lifetime had to be expecting somewhere near the 6.5mil of the Steel Magnolias remake.

I think it's gotten to the point where the audience is just tired of Lindsay's **** and can see right through it.

She would be bad in that role as well. Hollywood has moved on to other young actresses
and rightfully so. Lindsay
is like many teen actresses who fail to become a respectable adult actress like Taylor herself, Anne Hathaway and Natalie Portman. And probably Jennifer Lawrence if she gets an Oscar nod to go along with her strong reviews for playing her first adult role..

I agree. People have given her a lot of chances and she always lets them down. She couldn't even stay out of the headlines while filming the damn movie!

Her biggest sin in hollywood terms is that she isn't pretty anymore, the drugs and bad plastic surgery have just ruined her looks. If she were a man I think that she could overcome that but she isn't so her career won't ever fully recover. Unfair but a fact of hollywood life.

My main problem with her is I just see Lindsay Lohan playing someone now. She overshadows her character with her problems in life and her inabilty to surrender to being someone else.

She was considered for Mary Jane!

I don't know whose idea it was to cast Lindsay Lohan as Elizabeth Taylor, but I feel it's an insult to Taylor.

Taylor, whatever personal issues she may have had, had a grace and class in her demeanor that Lohan frankly not only cannot project but also just does not possess.
