I thought that when I saw the image in the pics thread, what threw me off was the dark hair but that could be a wig or something, so I never really "knew" it wasnt him. What got me on that track first was the resemblance to his Kurse form.

I liked how Kurse was presented, he had a presence about him, I just wish his battle with Thor had been more epic.

Really? I thought it was pretty epic. At least, in the version I saw. Did you not get the one where Kurse picked up a bus-sized boulder and threw it on top of Thor? Because that's what I had in my version of the film, and it was epic.

Yeah I got that version, but it was a short battle and Thor didn't do anything epic to Kurse, I was waiting for the big hero comeback.

I do agree that it was brief (but so was everything else in the film) and VERY one sided, with Kurse just pummeling Thor.

But on the positive side, Thor was shown to be incredibly durable. I mean, over the three movies he's been in, nothing has put him completely down for the count. He took that beating from Kurse, which would have killed a normal Asgardian, and kept on ticking.

Oh yeah we saw Thor's resilience and I know they were using it to give Loki an heroic moment before his fake death, but I'd have just liked to have seen Thor mount some sort of comeback before that happened.

True, true. After Mjolnir was deflected, he could have thrown a punch or two, or even hurled a huge boulder himself. That would have been cool!

So, the Destroyer battle in Thor 1 was too short with Thor dominating too much and the Kurse battle was too short with Thor getting dominated?

I just saw the film and Kurse was PURE BADASS, I'd say he could definitely take Hulk in a brawl.

Hulk wasn't even trying. Hulk smashes puny, ugly elf that lost to a puny singularity grenade.

Yeah Hulk was taking it so easy he almost killed poor Black Widow.

Now Kurse on the other hand didn't even seem to break a sweat.

No, Kurse just broke his back dying to puny grenade. Hulk eats grenades for breakfast. And Hulk, no matter how strong, has the potential to get stronger, and stronger, and stronger.

OMG that pissed me off so much! I wanted to actually see a battle between Kruse and Thor with combat Choreography. It end up being presented as more of an quick one sided action sequence instead of a battle sequence. Then it ended with the use of a Deus ex machina grenade. If those grenades are so powerful, then why didn't the just throw it at Malekith? Or why didn't the dark elf grunts just throw on at Thor and kill him?

Alright let's not act like that was a normal grenade, it was basically a black hole and it would do the same to Hulk.

Or anybody else for that matter.
