Superman should be constantly smiling, even in times of trouble. Everybody knows that.

Speaking of a smiling Superman, I found this:

This isn't pointed at you directly, but it's like 2006 all over again. Talking about the colors need to be lightened up a bit, not sure why they would choose to go so dark again. This time the blue instead of the red.

Agreed. It's great to see something and Cavill definitely looks great as Superman but it doesn't do much to sell the movie. Granted I didn't look at the original link from USA Today so I don't know the complete context, but a more dynamic shot would have been better.

I'm not loving the desaturated, muted, and dark colors. Feels like 2006 again. It makes me wish for the colors of Chris Reeve's suit, not the tights just the colors. Spidey in the movies has a perfect blue and red suit, why can't Superman?
And lighten up a little, Supes or at least WB marketing. We already had a down and out Superman in Returns. |

His skin is so pale and the colors on the suit so muted in that picture. If you did a side by side of that next to someone from Twilight (any one of the Cullens), they'd look like relatives.

very dark and very desaturated. i think in 2006 this would be called the drunk dark superman from S:TM 3. i also remember that fans didnt like when superman always looked angry, sad and emo.
i hope we get at least 2 shots of superman smiling. the suits looks good and i like how the suit looks around the neck. Last edited by dark_b; 01-04-2013 at 04:10 PM. |

You forgot to put shadows on the suit, dark_b. Remember, the studio doesn't want to reveal the suit.

Superman III is pretty unwatchable.

I see the value in the original film, Superman II has good points but then there's the mess of the Donner Cut being around as well. 3, 4 and Returns don't interest me at all. There's a good chance MOS will be alongside the first movie for me at least.
