Now that could be an interesting twist - rather than the Phantom Zone, Zod is spared the destruction of Krypton because he was off world with a small contingent of soldiers fighting a covert war on Apokolips...

So what Darkseid going to say to zod?Take the Z off your chest and put my Omega symbol on it or I will blast you with my Omega beams.That's the only way I can see it happening.That would make zod a minion.

Superman don't even back down from darkseid, what make anybody think zod will.Zod would be more of a threat to darkseid then superman because zod is a better fighter and he will not hold back.

Zod wouldn't be a minion to Darkseid, more like a second in command type thing, but Darkseid would be the boss.

The reason Superman doesn't back down from Darkseid is because he fights for others, while Zod is the type to fight only for himself and his own greed for power, so his allegiance with Darkseid would be more along the lines of him waiting for the best time to strike and take Darkseid out and assume control of Apokolips

As for the symbol, Only Superman, Jor-El and Zod have been seen with symbols, that does not mean everyone wears there "House" symbol, Faora doesn't, maybe Darkseid give Zod a symbol to wear since normally he doesn't have one.

If Zod has some kind of link to Darkseid, that certainly opens up some possibilities for the story, especially leading into a Justice League film. Just like how Loki was the link to Thanos, who we will likely see in Avengers 2.

As "crappy" as that poster is it got a lot of people talking which is the point of the poster to advertise and get peoples minds running, pretty smart marketing actually.

I posted a while back that Zod's final words to Clark should be a warning of an impending threat(Darkseid or Brainiac). A threat that Zod himself failed to defeat.

I can't see Zod as the plays well with others type. Certainly not other conqueror types.

Well the last version of Zod in the comics wasn't really a conqueror type, he legitimately wanted to what was best for Krypton/New Krypton, just went the completely wrong way of doing it.

I'd imagine it like this.....

after Krypton's destruction being weakened, and Darkseid finding him, and helping him, not so much out of loyalty, but because he's been weakened. Once he comes to Earth he gains his strength back, and plans to over take Darkseid as ruler of Apokolips with the goal of finding Brainiac and getting revenge....but first he must get ride of Superman, his only true obstacle, the son of his jailer

And yes they can still use that, Jor-El is still the guy who sends Zod to the phantom zone, but before Krypton's destruction, Zod escapes and then

, after being in a battle with Jor-El, Faora helps to save him/escape the planet but both are injured and get captured later on by some Paradeamons who take them to Apokolips when their imprisoned and forced to serve Darkseid.
