Back when I was that kids age that would have made one of my best memories. Super cool.

I think him getting a picture with Superman makes up for the fact that he's wearing Ugg boots...

that helps, but nothing can ever make up for the fact that your mother dressed you in UGG boots...

Cavill might as well be Santa Claus in that shot.

I just hope that Snyder doesn't rely too much on using CGI doubles for Superman or any of the other kryptonians. I mean I know that we've come very far with technology but I really doubt that they've come to the point where you could entirely believe that a CGI double was actually a real person at times and I don't want this to be another "Matrix" situation where there's several obvious CGI doubles shown in the film.

Well he did say that he believed when Superman flys it should always be a visual effect so I don't think Henry's done much wire work.

I gotta admit, I'm kind of bummed from hearing that. I would have loved it if they had tried to find new innovative ways to make wire work and flight sequences look more authentic, especially since the first Superman film with Reeve was such a breakthrough in that dept.

![]() ![]() ![]() The CGi in Avengers Hulk looks amazing by contrast, which shows that the technology (and artistic skill) is going in the right direction. He's a bright green behemoth however, and our eyes still find that much easier to accept than when we're staring at a CGi human - our vision is too conditioned to looking at real humans to accept a CGi one. Until such time that they can render a human face and eyes in totally photorealistic style with no way of knowing the difference, they should only use CGi for shots from a distance where detail isn't such an issue. And even then, they should do close-ups of the actors anyway.

Yup, for 99.9% of the shots. It would be a handy tool for the odd time when you need a crazy effect on a human face which just isn't practical to film with the real actor.

The Empire article does very briefly mention Cavill had to use a harness of some sort so I'm sure he had his fair share of hanging from a rig on a set or two!

^They said that if Cavill was ever up in a harness/on strings, it was only to get body position.

I was kidding. Picking up an entire whole building doesnt exactly sound realistic. I mean, it would come apart in the proces.
