Haven't you ever pretended to punch something and make sound effects? That's exactly what Nolan is doing there. He's describing Bane punching Batman's cowl. Judging by his face he was describing it with punch sounds. It's a natural thing. Kind of like when you pick up a toy lightsaber, you have to make the sound effects when you swing it.

I like how Bane makes statements/asks questions and catches the person off guard. The prologue with "for you" and the underground with "I was asking you."
The underground sequence with Gordon and the first Batman fight are enough on their own to make me a Bane fan.

The more I think about it, the more I think the movie would have been so much better if it was just Bane vs. Batman and with the same motives as in Knightfall. Bane is larger then life he should be his own man, he always was in the comics never really cared for anyone but himself.
Talia is also another beast in this movies then the one I would have liked to see. She's een enchantress a femme fatale, she doesn't necessarily have the same agenda as her father did. This movie should have focused more on breaking the bat and Bruce building up to the finale fight against Bane. The final act really dragged on and was ridiculousy far fetched.

They tried to draw from too many epic stories at once, is the problem. Knightfall or No Man's Land or The Dark Knight Returns would have been epic enough on their own, but they used elements from all three and it ended up just being overload.

They should have adapted Knightfall in one way or another but leave Azbats his reign out of it and Batman just plain tired of fighting baddies 8 year long. I didn't really get why Bruce is in such a bad shape, he's ahd rest for 8 years and only was Batman for I guess 2 years? BB and TDK took place in only two years time and he retired straight afterwards.

Looks like it. Although it's a shame they don't show a clear glimpse of it. Love the tune that's playing in the background of the excerpt.
