Looking Good so far. And coming from a guy who hates Mattel figures. I hated seeing those crapy SR figures in stores. But if these turn out as good as they could it makes me really pumped to see what they do for the $200+ detailed collectibles.

Yeah, the pic that was in the other thread just showed the all blue with the red cape, but this pic includes and all red one with what looks to be armor or something. Not sure what that's all about, but here it is nonetheless. Also, it looks like they did a good job with capturing Cavill's likeness....

Yeah, that's Cavill alright. I think it looks fairly decent overall and I usually dont about these movie-toys. They usually look ****ing cheap.

Yea I could see the similarity on the blue figure, but because the angle is slightly different, the red figure looks even closer, unmistakebly Cavill.

Well someone on these boards (sorry, I can't remember who it was and all the credit goes to him/her) actually found the blue one and I just did a Google search for Man of Steel prototype figures and I came across the pic I posted.

Capes are awesome. That last shot. Even if it's just an action-figure it still looks imposing and epic. I hope we get shots like that in MOS.

Those looking for something a little more "up market" Hot Toys have the rights for Mos and are currently doing initial design work on figures. Word is there will be 3 initial figures with another 3 depending on demand.

There will be and the Horsemen have sculpted a bunch of them, more so than The Dark Knight Rises MM but how many end up in the line remains to be seen.

Also don't forget that Square Enix have a MOS figure coming in their Play Arts line too for those who don't want to fork over $200 for the Hot Toys figure.

I'm really looking forward to the Hot Toys. I will be a forking the 2 bills if it looks like Cavill (I know it will) but it have the muscle definition. They are so awesome with the faces but their bodies and wrists suck. lol I want detail suckas! You hear me Hot Toys!

Dude I'm 23 and I still buy figures/toys. Who gives a **** about age? If you like something, buy it.

That being said, the red prototype looks pretty neat. Looks like there is more POA than most Mattel movie figures.

Maybe he inherits his Kryptonian suit and it has a bunch of extra stuff on, like Jor Els, and he decides to strips it down to just the blue suit. Much like he doesn't want to wear a mask, maybe he doesn't want to wear a suit which looks like its designed for war. The shoulder pads certainly look similiar, perhaps where they are different could be put down to having the design simplified for toy moulding. Or perhaps it's just one of those crazy toys you get with random stuff added on which have nothing to do with anything in their film counter parts.
