R.I.P. Herbert Lom.

Here's a nice story about him.....where I live (Kentucky), there was a local newsman with the last name Lom. I met him once, and jokingly asked if he was related. He laughed and said No, but here's a story, he said his father had always joked about it because of it being such a rare name here in Kentucky and that they never missed watching any movies that "Uncle Herbert" was in. His father got to go to London once, and while there looked up Herbert Lom's name in the phone book....it was listed, so on a whim he called it. Herbert himself answered the phone, and the newsman's dad told him about having the same last name and always telling people jokingly about being related. He said Herbert thought it was hilarious, and invited him and his wife to his house that night for dinner. He said they went, and spent the evening talking and joking.

Sounds like Herbert was a real friendly guy.

Found out as I was in line to watch The Killers that Andy Williams had passed away. They performed Moon River, with Brandon holding back tears :/

Looking at the comment by Kurt Sutter earlier...

It appears as though he's potentially made a few bad choices and it's (allegedly) lead to this horrible conclusion

This is shocking. I know a guy who killed his best friend while on drugs and says he has no recollection of it.

That's classy. I like their rendition of the song and they are one of my favorite rock bands. It's sad they lost a band member not to long ago.

The more I read about the stuff Johnny Lewis did before he died, the less sad I feel about his death.

Yeah, that story is totally crazy.

I only knew him from the movie Felon, never really watched Sons. Didn't know of his personal problems, yikes.

Not sure how big a following The Rankin Family has outside of Canada, but another one of the Celtic group's members has left us.
