Wait. Those are taken from the same video, which is running on current gen hardware. The second shot takes place one frame prior to the first shot.

I tell ya, this platinuming business ain't all it's cracked up to be. One runthrough of MGS4 asks you to complete it in OVER 35 hours. So I'm just leaving it on as I sleep tonight and probably won't play all day.

I wish there was a way to load a previous save in MGS3 without quitting to main menu. Unless there is and no one, including the instruction booklet, told me.

Because those screens are the only thing I've heard about footage of the current-gen versions. Perhaps IGN broke some sort of embargo?

..Now...The article I got them from is gone. Didn't really say much..Just talked about the differences and how the lighting on the "next gens" fox engine was much more advanced. One said "360/PS3" the other said "Next Gen". I didn't even add the text. Now I can't find that anywhere. |

Yeah, there's nothing on N4G about it, either. Odd.
Well I guess that would mean there's definitely going to be both a PS3 and PS4 version. Hopefully the PS4 version isn't too far behind because I'd muuuuuch rather play that.

September 5, 2012 . 1:00pmWhile Metal Gear Rising’s PAX demo didn’t tell you about any attacks outside of light, heavy, and blade mode, I discovered a couple of new skills in my time with it.
I know we're a bit past this with the latter article from GI. But at least we can lay that to rest now. I chalk it up to the lighting. Last edited by zenith16; 09-05-2012 at 08:33 PM. |

Nah. IGN's been slipping up lately when it comes to this game. After all, they didn't know if the main character was Solid Snake or Big Boss, despite the answer being insultingly obvious.
Both of those screenshots are taken from the demo, and the demo was played on current-gen hardware (PC) at both the 25th Anniversary Event and PAX. Nothing that's been shown thus far has been next-gen, as confirmed by Kojima. Seriously. Play the video in QuickTime and go frame-by-frame. Those screenshots are literally seconds apart from each other. So where IGN is getting this next-gen/current-gen comparison, I have absolutely no idea.

So now that we have the age issue cleared up we can almost definitively state that this takes place immediately after Peace Walker, do that can probably rule out Coldman and Zadornov as the Burned Man.

Wasn't Paz found "10 days later" adrift? Yeah...I think it's safe to say that this is right after Peace Walker.

I'm hoping that the demo we saw is from the prologue chapter, and the rest of the game takes place a few years later (after **** presumably hits the fan).
I'm still trying to crack the mystery of this picture: ![]() Kojima said it was just a demo test for the FOX Engine, but the character is wearing the exact same outfit as Big Boss in the Diamond Dogs concept art. Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:
Kojima could have simply switched the character's head to throw us off the scent (hence the ponytail).

Speaking of Miller, he must've been what - in his fifties during Shadow Moses? At least?

I wouldn't be shocked if we start out as young Big Boss...Something goes wrong...we fast forward a few years and we play as older Big Boss. Kojima likes surprises after all... *looks at Raiden.* |

![]() The biggest flaw in the scenario of Old Big Boss, is why would they use the later, older Big Boss model during one of the earlier missions? |

Hehe ko jim is tired of people questioning what he said about when it takes place and the age of BB. simple as that. No not really, I'm messing around on that part. It's some picky musician or record company about wanting to gets payed through royalties. That's Why you can't just take anything matrial wise with ou lookin in to getting the rights and why we can't have good things any more.
