I'm thinking that instead of making it 4 years between A2 and A3 they're just going to pack 3 films in at least one of those years to make A3 come out in 2018 and still drop at least 3-4 new properties

It's very possible! Also, they could very well release a different Phase 3 movie in Spring 2018, then release Avengers 3 in July 2018. That's potentially SEVEN movies between A2 and A3!

I agree 100%! What was the point of that aside from mindless self promotion? I said as much to him in the other thread (now selected) and there actually was someone who called me something to the effect of "too harsh" and warned me about "karma". Lol. Seriously the guy came here and bragged about all his "secrets" and promised to answer questions. He answered a sum total of zero questions, revealed no "secrets", and plugged his mailing list incessantly. And I'm going to face "karma" for being a dick? Lol. Insane.

I don't think they'll move the Avengers from the first weekend in May....but if they would July 4th weekend makes sense

I think Thor this year is really them testing the market on fall releases...if Thor does well I expect 3 films a year (May, July/August, and November) will happen at least once

I think we'll get Ant-Man November or August 2015

I feel like they're going to kill off Rogers-Cap for a while and go with Bucky-Cap after A3 because of Evans' contract expiring. When Rogers returns he'll be a new actor.

Sticking with this prediction. Tack Inhumans onto 2018 before A3 though.

I'm interested to see how their "phase" strategy will work with an ever growing line-up. Do the phases get bigger to include sequels and new character solos? Or do new characters solos leak out slowly for the sake of sequels and keeping manageable size "phases?"

If they keep it to about 6 movies a phase then I think I'd like to see

Phase 3: Thor 3, Cap 3, Dr. Strange, Widowmaker (Widow/Hawkeye team-up), GotG 2, Avengers 3

Ooh Widowmaker is a good idea I havent heard before.

I'd totally be okay if they replaced Cap 3 with that. I don't think we need quite as much Captain America as some of the other franchises (Iron Man, Thor)

They're not killing anyone off but Iron Man 4 will not be in Phase 3.

As much as I would love to see 3 Marvel films every year it's likely not to happen because even Marvel knows to take into account every other studio. Starting this year we're looking at at least 4 superhero movies every year with that number increasing to 5-6 in 2016. We're guaranteed 2 Marvel films every year, 2 Fox films maybe starting 2016, Spider-Man by Sony every 2-3 years, and if DC's universe does well then at least 2 films from them every year, that's 6-7 films every year. While this is a dream come true for us comic book fans, for the general public this is oversaturation of the market which generally leads to new IP's not being able to break into the market and established IP's being the only ones to do well. 5-7 films a year is pushing it anymore more than that is going to lead to no film making optimal money
