But let's play devil's advocate for a moment and pretend the Szostak-Janet supporters are right. My questions are simple:

1) Why on earth would you introduce her in an Iron Man movie?
original plans were to have Ant-Man face Radioactive Man in the after credits.

I "forgot" them because I've never heard of either. Had to look 'em up in Marvel Wiki, and it's easy to see why I've never heard of either of them. A handful of appearances in fringe titles like Clandestine and Amazing Fantasy....? I wouldn't consider obscure subplots like that to be representative of a broader tendency to associate the Pyms with AIM.

The new Iron Man 3 trailer and the interview SHH did with RDJ really has me believing that those spoilers are more true than false

What, about Szostak.....? Shirley, you jest.
If anything, the new trailer confirms that Szostak is playing an Extremis Soldier. Which means that IMDB might actually be right for once about a casting notice; i.e., Bethany Cabe.

only you would consider one of Pym's only "solo" series to be obscure.

i'd say that the actor backing out confirms that this wasn't hearsay.

Dude, get real: *all* of Hank Pym's solo series are obscure.
The most successful (and still very short-lived) attempt at an Ant-Man solo project didn't feature Hank Pym in the title role at all, but Eric O'Grady.

...Guy at Screenrant coming up with a theory on Chen Lu appearing in a theoretical post-credit scene featuring a theoretical cameo by Ant-Man theoretically to be shot by Edgar Wright; based on a podcast from a blogger's reports based on rumor and hearsay; all of which turned out to be completely untrue when the role passed to Wang Xueqi as "Dr. Wu" instead of Chen Lu when all was said and done....

....yeah, confirmed hearsay in every sense of the word. But thanks for proving my point for me with the linky.

You find them obscure because as you've said you've read AVENGERS comics. I haven't read a lick of Dr. Strange comics but to say because I don't know of them then they're obscure it's frankly dumb. Marvel may be using Ant-Man's "obscure" comics as a focal point for his character. Who's to say. So I guess I can retract my previous statement Hank and A.I.M. do have a history together

I think having Pym involved with AIM makes sense in the MCU. It would give AIM a movie to be fully introduced and explored in (doesn't seem like IM3 will do that) and would work if it's an organization of scientists.

I still think it wouldn't be a bad idea to try and get out three films a year. Perhaps something like this:

November 2015: Ant-Man

May 2016: Iron Man 4
July 2016: The Incredible Hulk 2
November 2016: Thor 3

Or maybe if RDJ decides to only come back for Avengers sequels and GOTG is a success, move TIH2 up to May and then set GOTG2 for July.

May 2017: Captain America 3
July 2017: Black Panther
November 2017: Dr. Strange

May 2018: Avengers 3

It'll never happen, but here's my version:
November 2015: Ant-Man

May 2016: Captain America 3
July 2016: Black Panther
November 2016: Dr. Strange

April 2017: Thor 3
June 2017: GotG 2
August 2017: Ms. Marvel
December 2017: The Incredible Hulk 2

May 2018: Avengers 3

I feel like they're going to push Avengers 3 til 2019 to give more room for other films between 2016 and 2018

The interview SHH did with RDJ makes me think IM4 is coming. As much as I would be happy for it I kinda hope they don't so they can make room for new characters

If they could manage 3 films a year I'd like:

2015: Ant-Man
2016: Thor 3, Black Panther, Hulk 2
2017: Cap 3, Doctor Strange, The Inhumans
2018: GotG 2, The Avengers 3

What they should do for Phase 3 is branch out more. Think about it: they could do a proper film series for The Punisher, Ghost Rider, and Daredevil. Disney could easily release them all through Touchstone Pictures, bring in characters for cameos like Nick Fury knowing Frank Castle or having Cap fighting The Punisher, and make it their own universe within the MCU.

I think they may do a Heroes for Hire film with a mix of the street heroes such as Luke Cage, The Punisher, Misty Knight, Iron Fist, Daredevil ect.

If Loeb is anyone to listen to then Marvel's looking at Heroes for Hire with Luke Cage and Iron Fist franchise first, the original Heroes for Hire

A simple Luke Cage and Iron Fist Heroes for Hire would make them money too.

They keep talking about each movie drawing from different genres. Heroes for Hire is perfect buddy cop material. Minus the cops, of course.
