Nobody questions it because it's also bad storytelling. That's why stories never resemble real life. There's an organization and tidiness to stories that never stand up to scrutiny if you consider what would ACTUALLY happen in real life, or in the case of the Marvel universe, extended fictional universes. In stories, you never have the long-lost uncle whom you've haven't seen in decades randomly swoop in and save the day. We'd call that a deux ex machina and whine about how stupid the ending was. But that kind of randomness occurs on a regular basis in real life.

Watched Cold Light Of Day. Man was it a generic and boring film, but Henry wasn't half that bad in it, and his american accent was fine. He's far from a bad actor, I just think he hasn't gotten the opportunity to show his chops, cause he hasn't been a lead in a really well written script yet. I think MOS will change that.

Yeah it's not the best film but I don't think it was as bad as some people made out. Tbh I've seen Henry act on the Tudors and he was fantastic on that. Plus I think he gave a solid performance in Immortals, a film I absolutely love.

Yeah, I often wonder how many "experts" around here who critique Henry's acting so harshly have ever acted themselves. I don't pretend to be some master thespian, but I've studied acting and I've performed both on stage and on film and I've found Henry to be very good whenever he's been given good material to work with.

Good material is a big factor. For instance, I love Friday Night Lights, which is an extremely well produced show. There was one actor on there who was quite good but I found him doing bit part on Burn Notice in which he was definitely not so good. However, he is now on Parenthood, another well produced show from a FNL producer, and he's back on his game. Material makes a big difference.

And for the record, I like Cavill in most of what I've seen him in, but it irks me when someone trots out the "well, have you ever 'insert-trade-here'? Then what do you know?" We all have opinions on a myriad of crafts that we have no real experience with and that is perfectly okay.
