He was the opposite of sexless in the Twilight movies, your hatred makes you blind to the fact that all Twilight sold was the sex appeal of the two male leads. Which I freakin love because I'm chick and was tired of hollywood pretending that men were the only thing that existed as far as eye candy goes. I say give me more shirtless, wet sex beasts.

I don't see the Twilight in this picture per se but there is no doubt that after the success of Twilight studios have been pushing male sex appeal more and more.

I've seen the Twilight movies (and I don't hate the last three)... Pattinson doesn't exude any kind of sexiness for me. (At least they sexed up Taylor Lautner and the rest of the cast.) Frowning, smirking and pouting aren't exactly 'smoldering' looks. Now the scripts didn't give him a wide range of emotions to play with as Ed either, but still.

Cavill, on the other hand, does.

They were trying to push it blatantly. That first movie was all about how intense and 'sexy' he was. You can't watch that first time she sees him, where he strolls in in slow motion staring right at her, and say they weren't going for teenage sex appeal

I thought he was very solid in Tudors, everything else I've seen him in I would say average to below average. I personally feel like all of that doesn't matter as long as he is a good Superman. Like you, I also have a feeling he will be.

He was good in Tudors and everyone uses Immortals as an example but as a film it didn't really give him much to work with. Snyder is very good at directing his actors, im sure he got the best out of Henry.

Immortals didn't give him much to work with but he's solid in that film considering he had little to work with

I really liked him in Immortals. It was a bloody awful script, but managed to make really quite unnatural dialogue seem more natural.

Plus, I freaking love those fight scenes. Particularly the one with the minotaur and the final fight between Theseus and Hyperion

I loved Immortas, I just found it severely entertaining, the action was very good and it looked good. I much preferred it to 300 (whuch I didn't like at all) and I wouldn't say that's awful just didn't enjoy it. I think awful films are stuff like Batman & Robin where the only thought gone in has been how many toys can we sell.

There's a place for these kinds of films, not every film has to test our minds.

Yeah those rocked, infact the reason I loved the Theseus vs Hyperion fight at the end was it seemed like a real fight between two people.

Yup. It was really well filmed, and Cavill did a great job of playing utter remorseless hatred.

I don't even think they looked similar TBH. They had very very different visual styles.

It gets compared a lot because it was 'from the producers of 300', and Cavill gave a speech to a bunch of soldiers in the trailer, which reminded everyone of Gerard Butler yelling 'tonight we dine in hell'. But they really are very different films.

I love both BTW. I'd give the edge to 300, because I felt the script and story was better (although obviously that had a lot to do with the source material).

Well yeah but each if them was filmed in a certain way neither looked like they were in the real world. 300 is more cartoony looking than Immortals in my opinion.

That's fine like I said I didn't care for 300 but I loved Immortals but each to their own

I thought Immortals was a terrible film with a few cool action scenes and thats about it. But I did like Cavill in it, he was the only saving grace aside from Mickey Rourke's hammy villain.
