Looks like he has put a cargo colour on then tried to paint over it with a very vibrant blue, or is that just the lighting?

Either way, he has ballsed it up.

on a different note, can anyone recommend a decent bald cap to a bane who is too vain to shave off his barnet?!

layercake, i think woochie make bald caps that are not too bad. if you've got dark hair you might consider coloring it temporarily to prevent it showing through the bald cap. also, get a few caps, just in case the first one rips, or you wind up with a wrinkly, squishy head.

to temporarily color your hair and also to make your hair easier to deal with while putting the cap on... try getting some cheap foundation in a color that matches your skin closely and mix some with gel, then use that to slick your hair down.

Howdy guys.

I'm kind of late to the party, but with Halloween coming up, this is the ideal opportunity to get something I've wanted for a while now (not just for Halloween, but in general). I see y'all are discussing the mask at the moment, but I'm looking for the jacket. It's a gorgeous jacket and, assuming it's made with the right materials, it's also extremely functional and would easily become my winter jacket.

That said, where can I find the jacket from a non-cosplay site? I want one that is actually FUNCTIONAL, not just for show, and doesn't run the $250 for matching every single movie detail (those matter relatively little to me)

Well if you want a nice one the jacket will cost you $250 or more for it. I don't have the Banepants'com version but I know that is one of the best out there and I believe that it is pretty functional (or I've heard several people talk about sweating a ton in it at cons. The other option is to go to eBay and search for "sheer jacket," "shepherd jacket," "sheepskin jacket" and hope you find something that is functional for you. The original jacket was either based off or made from a Swedish WWII military jacket so you could also try that option to look for it. The last option is to look up the article that esquire did back in august about the various styles of bane and they have a jacket that matches all the ones that he wears in TDKR.

I like the large collar, though, and I know that won't come on any of the utilitarian jackets. Has anyone gotten a hold of the pattern for the jacket? I do have some sewing ability.

i dont think there is a real pattern floating around, but like luckyslev said, you can find a bunch on ebay. also look for "shearling coat". if you manage to find one that is long enough you can cut some length from the bottom and make it into a mondo-collar.

So I went to a huge basically street party lastnight in downtown Austin and it went way better than I thought I figured there would be hundreds of banes this year and out of a several thousand people I saw maybe 3 other poorly done banes I was extremely happy I wasn't outshined haha my friend finally told me to take off my mask so people would stop asking to take pictures with me I probably posed for 20 pictures just walking down the street from one bar to the next made me feel super good and made it all worth it
