Fantastic news if it turns out to be true.

50 year anniversary display makes it sound like it's the 1973 prototype...

As long as the Sentinels tower over humans, I'm happy.

It's kind of hard to have exciting battle scenes when a mutant is below a sentinel's ankle.

Maybe, though the 50th Anniversary announcement leads to a blacked out image of the current design which does look a bit too sleak for the 1970s.

That must be when the timeline branches off. When sentinels are introduced to society in the early 70's.

judging by how the feet are designed it looks like they might also fly (similar shape to iron mans feet, plus hand blasters)

Yeah it does... I'd like this to be the final design IMO. It's perfect.

Awesome. Maybe in the past they have to stop a train from delivering Sentinel pieces to be constructed... or maybe that's something in the present?

These designs are cool. Familiar enough for fans, but still different and unique to the films. I approve so far.

Maybe Brotherhood attacks train carrying parts for sentinles to prevent mass production of
sentinles In 1973.

The trick Is going to be
1:having sentinles In 1973 but no mention of them In OT(although they may have tiein to last Stand by offering reason for the danger room session with sentinles)
2:How the 1973 and future sentinles are connected

1) Alternate timeline

2) Proto-types are created by a corporation successfully causing the dystopic timeline

1:All signs have pointed prior to wolverine's time traveling 1973 scenes being bot sequel to First class and prequel to Trilogy and futre scenes sequel to trilogy and the wolverine
2:It's very possibly before time traveling the protypes were suspose to be
destroyed and trask killed and sometime post trilogy and the wolverine a more advanced version of Sentinles are launch against mutants.

Bryan Singer went to James Cameron for advice on the time travel story.Remember the terminator had those from future create the future that
Skynet wanted to chance-a:The terminator lead to sky and B:Kyle reece fathered John Connor which wouldn't have happened If terminator hadn't been sent back.

So that's definitely the 70s "Mark 1" with 70s propaganda posters. Awesome. Looks like the present day design will be revealed on Saturday.
