The rule clearly states if one of them has possession of the ball, it isn't a simultaneous catch! Tate was on Jennings back with one hand on the ball, while Jennings had it wrapped in both arms and on his chest. How can this be called a simultaneous catch? Tate barely had the ball! According to the rules, as analyzed by refs, that is in INT. Not a TD.

Actually, while the refs have been pretty bad they are doing a better job than I expected. At least until this week. It's clearly not a ball caught at the same time. Jennings caught it, Tate got his arm around it afterwards.

Jennings clearly has control first. Tate then gains "simultaneous" possession.

Watching Golden Tate recount the final play makes me sick. His body language betrayed his words completely.

Of course all the Seattle fans/players will defend what happened. That is to be expected. I didn't think Tate would say anything to diminish their win. But...this is clearly a joke. As a life long fan of the NFL, I am furious. I am not even a Packers fan, and I am a very angry consumer.

Regardless, the replacements refs will continue into Week 4.

Let's hope Week 5 the regular refs are back.

That gif is not showing when both players went up for the ball simultaneously....you just see the after effect of the ref hesitation and the late signal; but the ref saw it ran up while the was wrestling and saw Tate still had some possession of the ball, and then made his call. They review it, and confirm it. Play the full gif.

You can't blame the guy. I'd do the same thing if I was him. If you can do something in sports to get an advantage and not get caught you should take it. It's not his fault the damn refs can't make the right call.

And when I say 'get an advantage' I don't mean crap like taking steroids, etc, etc,.

Conspiracy theory #379

The scabs are purposely sabotaging games to help the real refs get better pay.

I have. Many times. Just replayed it on YT. Tate never had more than the one hand on the ball on the way down, while Jennings maintained his hold. So once again, not a simultaneous catch, as established by NFL rules.

Russell Wilson becomes the first player in football history to throw a game winning interception.

At 0:14 Golden Tate's hand comes off the ball. Did he have possession of the ball at that moment? Get real.

This isn't even the end, the Packers may not have just been screwed in this game.

What happens if the Packers miss the playoffs this season because of 1 game?

I had a moment, stepped into my break room and saw the replay. My eyes see Jennings make the grab, and still has it when he rolls off Tate on the ground.

That my friends, was an interception.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a Lockout if this **** Continues and no Deal to bring back the Old Refs back is made.
