I love football, but I have on occasion left the house and missed a whole Sunday.

But I know there's a lot of people who probably watch from 1:00 pm to midnight every Sunday.

If it's not a team I'm rooting for, I usually do something else or have it on in the background.

I'm doing a football fantasy pick thing so I'm interested in all the games. Plus Red Zone just gives me the best parts.

That entire last Seattle drive was an abortion from an officiating standpoint.

1. The "roughing the passer" call that negated the GB INT deep in Seattle territory.

2. The pass interference call on GB when Sydney Rice pretty much assaulted the GB DB.

3. And of course the pièce de résistance on the TD at the end of the game.

Now being a Lions fan, it pains me to say this but I feel for the Packers, they got completely and utterly jobbed.

Gooddell should be embarrassed. The NFL has announced they will speak about the game later today. If they dare try and defend this atrocity, they'll be an even bigger laughingstock.

Same here but since I don't have access to all the games, I'd just stick to the scoreboard on my phone or on tv.

I think they will defend it by calling it simultaneous reception to continue the embarrassment.

I'm thinking that if this continues, it's only a matter of time before the players starts to threaten a strike of their own.

The Onion: Steve Young Suffers Concussion Attempting To Explain Final Call In Packers, Seahawks Game

Quote:
SEATTLE—ESPN medical personnel confirmed Tuesday that analyst Steve Young suffered a traumatic brain injury Monday night while attempting to explain the referees’ confusing ruling of a touchdown on the last play of the Packers, Seahawks game. “It’s evident that the replacement referees’ questionable, game-deciding call exerted a significant amount of trauma on Mr. Young’s brain and caused him to temporarily lose consciousness while attempting to grasp the rationale of calling that play a touchdown,” said neurologist Richard Spencer, adding that the woozy Young was helped off the ESPN broadcasting set immediately following his disoriented plea for the NFL to bring back the regular officials. "Given Mr. Young's history, this is certainly serious. It’s not surprising that he’s exhibiting signs of cognitive impairment. That ball was intercepted." As of Tuesday morning, Young was reportedly resting comfortably at the Harbor View Medical Center saying that the last thing he remembers from Monday night was Golden Tate pushing a defender squarely in the back and knocking him to the ground before the final pass came down.

I heard they're planning on moving the Super Bowl to Montreal.

And could someone please shop Earl Hebner's face onto the ref that called touchdown?

Which would be a welcomed sentiment by me.

They can't strike because of their CBA.

Although the NFL players cannot strike because of rules in their collective bargaining agreement, the CBA does give players the right to refuse work if they believe their safety is in danger

& it probably is as long as the scab refs are around

NFL supports decision to not overturn Seahawks' touchdown

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap100...headline_stack

Obviously they would not go against the ****er refs

Can't wait for the ****er refs to ruin the playoffs

I can see it turn out as that scene in Rat Race with Cuba Gooding Jr where he f***s up the coin flip.
