Kind of sux having to wait for the entire trilogy for extras.

It depends on which edition you bought: for Burton-Schumacher era, they released 2 disc sets for each film overflowing with extras. Batman Begins was released as a two disc set with detailed featurettes on every part of the film. The Dark Knight's problem was that it did not include any features on Ledger (which considering the context of the time is understandable.) So, they've been pretty good. I've enjoyed the three disc set for TA and will be buying the Phase 1 set.

Yeah I had the Keaton stuff but the the newer films I couldn't find the same content as that first series.
I would have loved a loaded BB dvd cuz I my Bro's fiance with with the landscaper of BB, we also lived a few miles where part of the chase scene on the highway was filmed north of Chicago.

They should include all kinds of extra stuff they had of Ledger and give the proceeds to his daughter. He died and I am sensitive to that, but they can't be all sensitive about sharing his legacy and achievements. Why not celebrate what he did and honor him even more by saying a portion of sales will go to his daughter. Of course I'd like to see this for my self, but you don't just cease from discussing him or things he did in that particular film because you're too afraid you'll offend someone.

Can anyone comment on the 90 minutes of footage included with the Target version?

It apparently discusses the construction of the MCU.

Yeah you got to go up one more to get the digital copy. Blu-ray/DVD combo pack with the extra bonus disc doesn't have the digital copy unfortunately.

I wonder how many Blu-ray/DVD copies will have been sold this week alone. I'd imagine it could set another record.

I wondered that too. Walmart had Avengers playing on some Flat screens that were on sale.

Yeah it's normally marked 4 disc set. It has DVD/Bluray/3D Bluray and Digital copy at just about all the stores carrying the movie.
If you buy it at Target it comes with a 5th bonus disc that covers interviews from ALL the Marvel movies with added content to each

I almost picked up the Target version but I had already ordered it from Amazon last Tuesday, I like the cover art of the Target version more plus...I wish the Blu had more special features and I coulda used a 90 minute 5th disc!

the bonus features on the blu-ray set is pretty poor - just two featurettes at about 15 mins each? Iron Man had hours of bonus material... it's clear that they are packing all of the real features for the Phase 1 set...

Disney has been known for poor extras on their home releases so TA is no different, same way I think they probably had a hand in not putting as much stuff on the Thor and CA: TFA Blu-rays. I really missed seeing all the BTS stuff on those movies that we were able to see on the 2 IM movies that preceded them.

With all the stars of TA saying there were B-roll cameras filming the BTS stuff for nearly every scene, it's crazy to not have some more in-depth BTS features on the initial Blu-ray release. When Marvel said they'd be putting more stuff into the MCU box set due to its delay, I think that was always their intention, adding more stuff in the box set than the regular Blu-ray release to increase sales.

I got a feeling even the Phase One set will be lacking in special features, sounds like Warner Bros...

Watched it again on Bluray!!

WOW!!

I was sooo wrong!!

I thought this movie needs the Ironman, Thor, and Cap movies...

...BUT this movie can stand alone by itself and it's still EPIC!!

I mean it is good to see those other movies before BUT this movie still kicks butt without them!!

I got it from Best Buy, but its the same one that is being sold on Amazon. It wasn't the giant behemoth that was their exclusive either.

I too wish there were more features. Many of them basically restate the same stuff. But, the movie itself is glorious on blu ray

They probably want to wait until 2016 so it can be a big Phase 1 & 2 Box Set that no one will be able to afford. I know that's a negative attitude, but it's probably true. I wouldn't be surprised if they wait longer than that. At the end of the day they don't care about the fans as much as they try to claim. I hope they prove me wrong, but I'm not holding my breath. Come on Diseny/MARVEL prove me wrong! Have faith in your product and know that if something is given now at a somewhat decent price, people will spend the money. If they wait longer and then they will make the same money probably but less money will have to come out of there pockets because they won't have to produce as many sets. In the end they win fans lose.

No, most likely it will simply be a re-release of Avengers prior to Avengers 2 comes out. An ultimate edition of the film to promote the sequel seems more likely and profitable to Disney than holding it off for just some big box set which houses all the films after the Avengers 2 release

What I did was preodered the Best buy to get the Steel book case, then stuffed it with the Target set. Basically the dvd, bluray and Target bonus disc are in the Steel book, and the 3D bluray and digital copies are in the Target case.

I kept the 3 BRs in the steelbook and the 2 DVDs in the Target case. It felt right to keep them together like that
