it looks like the raised texture only looks to strong in close ups. in full body shots it gives enough texture pattern to the suit so that it doesnt look to smooth.

the blue is to dark to me. the red works with the cinematography

I really think you people opining that they're hiding the trunkless region are making something out of nothing. There are shots were you can see that area, and, there's only so many shots in a trailer. What were you expecting, a close up of his crotch?

Relax, guy. It just seemed like even in full body shots, the suit is lit in such a way that most of his lower abdomen and upper thighs are hidden in shadow. If done intentionally, I think it's a gracious move on their part to somewhat appease the fans who are pro-trunks.

Was hoping the cape would hang off the back of his neck, ala, the George Reeves cape.

I just don't buy that they're doing that.

I totally forgot about the trunks while watching the trailer. I just saw Superman On screen.

I guess it means the suit passed the test.

Hear, hear!

I didn't envy the filmmakers' challenge: try and reintroduce Superman to a modern audience with a fresh perspective. This includes the suit. It "celebrates" his alien heritage without sacrificing the iconography that made it the template for the "superhero".

I personally love the \S/ in particular. They sort of went "Earth Two" in design, but it's big and splayed, really declaring who he is.

The suit may not make the Superman, but this one is damn good.

Suit is amazing, only the film filter bothers me.

The suit is out of this world, literally!

Very Alien looking yet it is classic. The update worked out for the best.

I want to see Zod and Faoras costumes on-screen already!!!!!

Jor-El's too!!!!

I've played the new trailer back a dozen times.....
At the beginning .....what is young Clark saying to his mother?

"The (something) is too big Mom!" Then they show him crouched in the closet....

What did he say??? I could not understand him?

That looks like a school closet...I wonder if he's sitting in class then all of a sudden his super hearing kicks in and he doesn't know how to shut it off and he screams....shattering all the glass. Now that rumor doesn't sound so stupid and far fetched. So Johnathan and Martha come to pick him up and Martha has to talk him out of the closet

I'm REALLY digging that the suit is pretty close in color to the Fleischer series. And I get why it's shiny now considering the overall sci-fi nior art direction. Better for contrast and highlights.
