650,000 blu rays sold in week one. C'mon movie studios, the general audience have spoken.

Probably something along the lines of Riddick or Veronica Mars where they get independent funding to go forward.

If they do a sequel it should be direct to DVD. I doubt a sequel would make more money. Dredd isn't that popular a character...

NO! I want them to make the best movie they possibly can and to not half ass the sequel as a direct-to-DVD movie.

I hate to say this, but if it does happen, it will be even lower budget than Dredd was.

You could have 10 million people sign a petition online, but what counts is bums on seats, and when the previous movie came out, nobody went to see it.

Not if those 10m chip in $100 each. Pretty decent budget then. I would consider in return for profit share, shareholder rights and my name in the titles.

It sure feels a little low-budget but it's a really good movie. A sequel would be really nice.

Yeah, Pacific Rim had a pretty decent budget. John Carter had a pretty decent budget. The Stallone Judge Dredd had a pretty decent budget. That doesn't guarantee people will see the movie.

I couldn't care less if anyone else sees it. If its fans have funded it, it doesn't matter- any profit would just be the icing on the cake.

If there is no profit at the end of it, no-one is going to make it for the fans.

It's money that gets the movies made though, which is why Transformers films are made despite getting mixed reactions at best...

Each Transformers movie gets made because the previous one made a huge profit. Not simply because the studio has the money to make them.

Obviously, hence 'icing'. I would be willing to bet on a profit, though- word of mouth has given this traction.

So it is realistic that there will be a sequel? I heard that there was a comic sequel in the works...

It's a possiblity but it is not definite and there is no time table on which to guess when.
