It's a book about stories.

Most of the focus is on the main staff while the students play a good supporting role (Quentin Quire, Kid Gladiator, and Broo a bit more than the others). Logan, Beast, Iceman, Kitty, and Rachel are the main staff with Warbird, Cannonball, Husk, and Toad to a lesser degree.
There are more staff but they're featured in X-Men Legacy... though that's been very blah for a while now. That includes Rogue, Gambit, Frenzy, and to a microscopic extent Chamber. The first arc under Gage was decent but it all went downhill from there. A mixture of those two groups are focused on in Astonishing X-Men (Gambit, Warbird, Iceman, Wolverine) with added focus on Northstar and Karma, guest staring Cecelia Reyes. It's removed from the other two books though and deals with stuff away from the school for the most part. It's a decent read.

Maybe after AvX is over, I will give it another shot at some point (I bought the first AvX tie-in issue), and I know most people have said AvX really messed with the flow of the book.

If Bachalo was a problem, you don't have to worry anymore about that, since I think he's already done, or will be done by the end of AvX tie-ins.

Another teaser
![]() Rumors are that it's a possible new Wolverine solo or a Ka-Zar/Shanna the She-Devil title.

People are assuming it's Wolverine at the comic news sites. And I guess he's also writing so that he can insert as many big-boobed ladies around Wolverine as he needs to keep his drawing hand happy.

The three claw marks alone imply Wolverine, and if it isn't a Wolvy book then Marvel should be spanked for using such a cheap trick to get people interested.

I wonder if the Savage means Wolverine in the Savage Land or does he revert back to mid 90's nose-less Wolverine.

Eh, not interested in more tweens. I like my heroes a bit more grown up than that.

I'm all over that. I loved what Joe Casey and Nick Dragotta did with the new Teen Brigade in Vengeance, so I'm glad Miss America's being used for something else, and I love Gillen and McKelvie's work. Definite buy for me.

Eh, basically it was a thread asking fans what they'd like to see from the New 52, and they all just said they wanted the old continuity back.

Meh, it's not as if in the last DC reboot things went well right from the begining, it took years until the universe was in the place fans wanted it to be.

I don't think everyone's been completely happy with the DCU since the 50s.

I will say, now knowing that DC has completely wiped out all of their past continuity, I do wish they would've just started from scratch rather than the whole "5 years later" thing.
But lord knows that would've pissed off even more people. |

![]() But i do think that too, they're way too scared of starting from scratch, maybe the 100th annyversary will be their chance but i dunno, the thing with starting from the begining again is that the writers will just have to repeat much of what has already happened in the past 40 years, like the Robins, Sinestro, etc.

I'm just tired of DC constantly rewrite their characters' histories. Pick a backstory and stick with it!
