Davison could come back too. He's done it already, plus Tennant's family now.

I rewatched "A Town Called Mercy," and I have to say it is my favorite episode for this half of series 7.

I'm okay with Tennant coming back, especially under Moffat's pen.

So I finally gave the new 8th Doctor boxset a listen. It's pretty good, but its story is one of those stories that hints very strongly about the Time War without actually going into it. BBC needs to just give Big Finish permission to tell the damn Time War already!

I think after nearly 8 years of allusions and hints, if the Time War is ever covered it's something the show will have to handle itself.
It's all moot though. The Time War is something we should never see, IMO. |

What if it's simply Smith watching tenant from afar. Like in back to the future 2. they are in the same place but never meet.
maybe they redo rivers last hoorah. Like after tenant does his thing Smith swoops in with his time magic super fi to bring river back. |

I wouldn't mind the BTTF2 style multiple Doctors story, like they don't interact but they kind of do ala Blink kind of.

Story wise I could see a plot as to how it could all work (without it seeming like a gimmick only).

If they wanted to go REALLY cheap, then they could have one of the modern day Doctors only able to interact with one of the older doctors via messaging. Could be cool if they played it right and could still pull an emotional performance out of the concept.
They do have plenty of modern Doctors to interact with one another though so that would be my preferred option. I've always wanted McGann to return for an episode to give him a better send off or introduction depending on how you want to look at it.

Sylvester McCoy once expressed an interest in appearing on TV as a different character, like what they did in the multi-Doctor audio story Zagreus.

Filming on Sherlock Series 3 has been pushed to March 2013.
Reshoots on The Hobbit were scheduled for after the New Year, and a two month delay makes Martin Freeman available for them. Plus, a two month delay in filming gives Steven Moffat some downtime between the end of filming on Doctor Who and the start of Sherlock. Will this have an effect on Doctor Who filming in 2013? Perhaps. |

Big Finish adapted the 90's Doctor Who novel Love & War into an audio. It tells the story of how Ace finally left after the Doctor used her as a pawn in his plans one time too many.
Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:
I listened to it, and it was... okay. It has a pretty interesting villain who has a good plan, Bernice gets a nice introduction, and the main actors are in rare form. I can forgive the silly virtual reality segments because the original story was written in the 90's. But the pacing is pretty damn bad, and Ace's motivation hinges on her falling in love with some dude named Jan within the 2 or 3 days this story takes place in. I didn't even notice Ace and Jan had feelings for each other until Ace told the Doctor about it.

Leela: "Doctor, I have fallen in love with this random Time Lord named Andy or something."
Doctor: "When the hell did that happen?!" Leela: "One episode ago, when we ran back and forth through the inside of the TARDIS for 30 minutes straight."
