I've seen her body and she just looks okay to me. I don't see what is so hot about her. She's a cute girl and looks good along side Pine and she'll probably be fine in the film but I never got why you guys are so googly eyed over her?
Anyway this Spock is going to die stuff was said about Batman in TDKR by everyone and it wasn't true then and I don't think it's true now.

The two situations aren't exactly the same.

Wow. So excited for this film.
Btw, did anyone else see a starship rising out of the ocean (Enterprise?) and then another shot of a silhouette of a starship crashing in to the ocean also? Jesus, this film truly looks epic. And Cumberbatch? Sexy bastard I tells ya. Here's hoping it's a villain that rivals Khan in awseomeness... even if it is Khan

So you really think that if this movie makes 600 to 700mil that Quinto won't be in the 3rd film? You think that he doesn't have the standard three movie contract? That they will waste the entire third film bringing him back to life?
If that happens Paramont and Abrams are dumber than I thought and this is coming from a person who isn't crying about the prospect of Kahn being the villian in this film.

The word "epic" should he filtered on this site or simply banned. I am curious what would happened to most post. Because really, if everything was as epic as we say here, pretty much nothing is epic, as it has all become standard.

Notice also, possibly, how the interior of the ship is darker? Possibly toned down he lighting, maybe to reflect the mood of the film?
All I could see where a couple of snippets, so purely guess work on my part.

I wonder when we'll know who Cumberbatch is playing?

Kinda sorta feels Khan, but then again it doesn't.
That ending for one reminded me of Spock's death from Star Trek II: Wrath of Khan. However, given the V.O. at that scene, it looks like Spock might be related to whomever this mystery character is.

Well then.
Actually, that makes more sense and I do remember hearing that before. BTW, is anyone else over analyzing the end of the Japanese trailer? I kinda think its Cumberbatch's character, but another part of me thinks its Kirk. The color of the shirt would make you think "Oh its Cumberbatch's character", but then again... Hmmm. Most ponder this some more.

I can't believe so many people are falling for the "Spock dies!!!
" teaser. That is classic....classic misdirection from JJ. JJ is deliberately evoking the death of Spock moment from TWOK --- but he sure as hell isn't going to do something that obvious and copycat.

am i the only one thinking it's Cumberpatch? He's wearing the black shirt in the movie, that much is for sure. Also, Spock's hand is doing that LLAP thing. It could be Cumberpatch is dying, reaching out for help and Spock holds his hand up as if to say "Live long and prosper" sort of a f**k you, like in the first one with the council. No?

So it could be either or. Also, as far as Spock putting up his hand, his hand was quivering. So, either he's the one in trouble (unlikely) or he's very emotional.

Those few shots of Pine looking just past camera, in serious action mode... he looks bad ass kirk.
I really hope we do get a more serious Kirk in this one, I loved him in XI, but I want more serious, man of action kirk in this one. Damn, so hyped lol

![]() I think I just died....seriously though, while it didn't cause the movie to jump to the very top of my 'must see next year' list (that's reserved for Thor 2 and nothin' else is taking that spot, I don't care how much awesome footage is released ), but it did definitely move up the list and is now closer to the top than it was I can't wait ![]() As for Cumberbatch... I have to say, I haven't really been a fan of his (not that I hate him/don't like him or anything, I'm neutral...I've just never really understood the hype, but maybe that's because I personally haven't watched any of his work, other than War Horse) - but I love his voice in this teaser. It's just got that....something Like someone else said, it makes me interested to see what he does with the voice of Smaug in Hobbit. And maybe I'll have to check out some of his other work

He defintely seems more collected than Nero's screwball ass. We'll see how Kirk, Spock and Bones handle him.
