Updates really piss me off. Sure, they make everything run better, but we wouldn't need updates if companies made their product great from the start. Seems like the thinking is "Just ship the product, we'll finish it later." I hate that.

Square Enix has confirmed that the Director's Cut of Deus Ex: Human Revolution will be released exclusively on the Wii U.

Even so the boss battles are what they wanted them to be compaired to the original on other consoles where they were forced to out source cause they didn't have the resource's to do them the first time around, which they admitted to . They'll have to make up to the other consoles as well.

I really want to get Lego City Undercover and Monster Hunter Ultimate. Waiting for a sale (like Buy 1, Get 1 50% off) and I should try to sell my still-sealed Monster Hunter Tri Controller bundle for the Wii since Ultimate is an enhanced port of that.
Last thing I need right now is games to play. Semester is over the half-way mark which means all my work will start piling up. |

Yep. Didn't plan things out well last semester. Stayed up until 9am doing a paper due that day. Slept until 1pm and went to class. Then came home and went to my friend's birthday party from 10pm until 3am. Needless to say, I was really glad to have my break.

Still, the point stands. ****ing tired of the "new" Wii U games being old games.

No Im not disagree. It actually strengthens your point. Its not even a semi-recent game. Nintendo touted a lot of third party support but how many of them are bringing orginal games to the Wii-U as opposed to ports of older PS3/360 titles? I had to laugh at it being announced as "exclusively for the Wii-U". I think most already have moved on from that and wont be too bothered that its getting a release with extras

The only mistake Nintendo has made is not having another first party title out at launch or soon after. They intentionally did this to give 3rd parties the spot light at launch. Instead, they chose to play a "wait-and-see" approach and just released enhanced ports like Arkham City, ME3, and Darksiders II. Then you have UbiSoft pull a dick move by delaying Rayman Legends for no reason, even the game's developers were pissed off at that. I blame 3rd parties the most.

They should have lead with Pikmin 3. A first party title to get people jazzed and buying the system. Nobody is going to buy the Wii U to play Deus X and Arkham City. They're going to buy it to play Nintendo games. Unfortunately, Nintendo hasn't released any.

I don't think it's fair to expect people to get excited about another one of those.

Well this is a double edge sword for Nintendo while i see you saying this for years til now I saw other people on other forums saying they didn't buy any thing from Nintendo for a while cause they didn't have any of the third party stuff that the other consoles were always picking up or weren't the good version of those games. they are just making for all that now. I say they both are important.

NSMBU? Yeah, I didn't care for it. But I also didn't care much for NSMB Wii. I found both incredibly dull and generic, especially compared to SMB3 and SMBW. Still, it was a first party game at launch.

I think people were even less excited about it bc Nintendo had just released a new one on the 3DS months earlier. Having another one so soon wasn't a good move

That was my problem. I had it on Wii, DS, 3DS and now it's on the Wii U. They're essentially the same game with new levels and while I really like the Mario platformers, I'm kinda ticked it's the only Nintendo game I have for my Wii U.

Why are they upgrading old games on a new next gen system? I know not everyone agrees but I think they should fight hard for pretty much all 3rd party current & upcoming games just so someone can have that option of owning only a Nintendo console rather than having to own at least 2. Not a great strategy in this economy.

I've been out of the gaming world for awhile. I went over to my buddy's house and him along with his 2 brothers bought a Wii-U each and they're playing the new Monster Hunter game.
My other buddy came over and was playing the same Monster Hunter quest with them using his Nintendo 3DS and my reaction was:

I bought Lego City Undercover today. Haven't gotten to play it yet, but I figured I should own it. It's the one Wii U game that isn't a remake or update of a game that already came out
