The only thing I'm concerned with is how long can Slott stretch this plot out before it becomes too thinned out? I originally thought 2 years/24 issues but I don't even know if that's feasible the rate they're going. But I suppose in the end quality usually shines over those kinds of details and this book has been of the highest quality so far.

My guess would be about a year. It would be neat if we saw SpOck face off against each of the former members of his Sinister Six (and of course Gobby, Hobgoblin, & Jackal).

I don't know how a long term change like this can last. I'm hoping (praying) that Ock will be faced with such a mountain of situations that he realises it doesn't just take brains, brawn, and memories to be Peter Parker. He finds himself unable to cope and has to give over 'control' to Peter as he knows only he can get them out of whatever he's facing down.

Big surprise. Spider-Man will be Spider-Man again and Doc Ock will be back in his own body/cloned body/whatever soon and the status quo will return.
Then we'll wait for the next earth shattering revelation... |

I think you missed the "turning point that will get you angrier than you were after Spidey #700!" part. That means that they won't be in the same body/mind for too long. Question is, what would make us more angry? Ock remaining or our a new title launch that just seems like a waste of time to the ASM purists?
I just hate when Marvel tweaks us with lines like that in their solicits. They're written by some assistant editor I believe, but it still gets under my skin the way they word it.

The solits are fun and should never be taken at face value...
I have to say that for the first time in a loooooooong time, I'm excited to see the Green Goblin in a Spidey book... I just hope it's Norman.

It should be. Didn't it show his empty bed at a hospital or something? Like he woke up and jumped out the window?

Huh, that's faster than I would have expected. While I liked Norman in his newer expanded role, I have to say I really really miss Gobby; he was a lot of fun during Thunderbolts, so I was just waiting on a return. Well let's see how this turns out.

I'm thinking he gets pushed further into limbo until they can exploit the potential Superior/Venom/Scarlet Spider crossovers.

seriously I don't get it. why are some fans so butt hurt over Ramos' art?
His style is very similar to Ditko's. He is like a Modern Ditko like how JRJR is a modern version of his dad. IF you can handle Ditko's art, you should be able to handle Ramo's

Perhaps the "angrier" part is Ock discovers "ghost Pete" and gets rid of him, making it seem this time he really really is dead! But you know his "soul" molecule is somewhere (maybe gold octobot) waiting for Dr. Strange to fix the situation.

I for one love Ramos' art and can't wait for his return, although I really like Stegman's art as well!

Yeah, I'm thinking that Peter loses in his battle with Doc Ock to retake control of his mind. After all, remember in Avenging Spider-Man #15.1 that Uatu Jackson said he made a device which can capture ghosts? So in any case, I think will see Ghost Peter being "exorcised" leaving Doc Ock in sole control. However, Doc Ock also winds up no longer having any of Peter's memories save the ones he's already drawn from.

Ghost Peter has to go somewhere. That's the path that will lead him down the road back I'm sure.....just not anytime soon it seems.

Ramos' art in no way can compare to Ditko... his art is nowhere NEAR to even RESEMBLING Ditko's work...
Ramos' stuff is just plain butt-ugly and anatomically ****ed up, while Ditko's is sleek and spidery... a modern version of Ditko?!?... you must be joking... |

on another note regarding Ramos, when he was on the Spidey title back in the early 2000's, I didn't like his art back then... he drew Spidey with sausage-like fingers, swollen feet and pointy body parts when it came to Spidey's physique...
his art back then compared to NOW, is actually far better than the stuff he cranks out now on Spidey... in my opinion, his art has seriously deteriorated and gotten worse over the years... that said, bizarrely enough, looking back, I now prefer his art back then as opposed to the mess he seems to put out now... |
