That is probably his fightin' look. he'll probably have a dressed down look as well with the flowing hair.

yes the other thing too is if he's the same species as those he is leading then of course he's going to look similar!

So what race do you think Thor and co were fighting in the first set pics we got? I figured some would be dark elves, but it doesn't look like that now...

Wasn´t there talk about "Marauders"? I have no idea if they are from the comics btw, so maybe it´s them?

there seems to be several "species" "tribes" what have you involved in those older pictures, but interestingly definitely nothing there that looks like these guys!!!

Yep, they were a mix of different styles...

Thinking about it, if they are showcasing more of the nine realms there better be some crazy stuff out there, no?

From the Filming notice that Marvel Freshmen posted on the previous page, in case anyone missed this....

So it certainly sounds like the Dark Elves have invaded Earth here and not Thor invading Svartalfheim.

Yeah, those are the guys everyone was calling marauders. Having never read more than half of a Marvel comic before 2011, I just assumed marauding was their vocation not their race. Some look like dwarfs while others look like burn victim elfs lol

In one of the animated movies, wasn't algrim super upset about his home realm being collateral damage in a fight against Surtur? Maybe they're invading Earth because their place isn't livable any more. Or would that be to derivative of the Front Giants in Thor?

Loving the designs, what I love more about the Thor world, despite not reading much Thor, are the more fantasy elements of his world and what that entails, namely stuff like this, great stuff.

Love the design for the DE's! Malekith looks sweet. Looks much more natural how they did his split face, like he was damaged in battle or something. Also very much in keeping with the "otherworldly" look rather than like something out of Tolkein.
