Wow, Patriots down now. Should be interesting to see if Brady can mount a comeback.

I was at Comic Con. Some one fill me in. Did the Giants shut down the 49ers run forcing Smith to throw and that's why he has 3 INTs?

2012 - The Revenge Of Pete Carroll
They also basically made Vernon Davis a non-factor, which made a big difference.

I could care less about Baltimore, but I love Ray Lewis... that is a shame.

No, the run seemed to be doing all right it's just that the Niners got in a hole pretty quickly...which then lead to Smith throwing the interceptions.

I don't understand. It was only 10-3 at halftime? How was that in the hole quickly?

Giants are a funny team...the greater the challenge, the better they play. Taking the lead in their division.....nice!
Go 'Gints!

I like Sanchez saying about making passes when he throws 11/18 and 82 yards. LOL.

Alex Smith doesn't care about your fantasy team.

I wouldn't have it any other way when it comes to a professional football team.

It's certainly been more fun the way they've won these past several years as opposed to being the 14-2 or 15-1 'favorite'. But pretty soon, no-one may ever bet against them again.

The Giants are a dangerous team if they can make the playoffs, thing is they've got to go through RGIII if they want the division.

RG is playing well, but at least as far as the division goes, I have little doubt the Giants will finish well ahead of them.

That's the problem with Smith. He can't make the deep pass. He doesn't have the accuracy. This game proves what people have been saying all along....the Niners plan and win AROUND their quarterback. They win in spite of him. That works when your defense can keep it close. But when playing a defense like the G-Men that can force mistakes and also has an offense that can take a big lead, a team needs a quarterback that can put the rest of the team on his shoulders and carry the load. Smith will never be that guy and until the Niners have that guy, they won't be champions.

What I don't understand is if Smith is the guy, why is Kaepernick taking 16 or so snaps? ![]() I understand in the end when the game was essentially over but...

I haven't seen many SF fans talk about him, but Kaep is undoubtedly the future starter of the 49ers. |

Smith is 'the guy' they have to work with, so to speak.

As for the stretch ahead....as this team has shown, the tougher the better.

Another wacky week in the NFL... again.
The Ravens and Falcons escaped by the skin of their teeth against The Cowboys and The Raiders, Russell Wilson appeared like Tom Brady (while playing against Tom Brady), The Giants' D made The 49ers' O look like Arizona, Stafford plays like utter **** but leads The Lions to a comeback victory over The Eagles, Cleveland beats down and outplays Cincinnati, Sanchez throws for 82 yards and beats Luck, and The Bills win. Oh, and now The Packers are picking apart The Texans' D. Welcome to NFL purgatory.

Just got home from the Redskins game. The stadium freaking ERUPTED when Griffin ran that seventy-something yard touchdown in. Which is saying something, considering that probably half the stadium was wearing Vikings jerseys.
When the Redskins got that INT in the endzone, pretty much all the purple and white drained out of the stadium. It was pretty funny. |
