UK release is one day earlier than the US. It's all thanks to DVDWorldUSA, they ship things within 24 hours of getting them in stock

So DVDWorldUSA ships movies earlier than the official release date? Seems like there would be some HUGE fines for doing that. Color me cornfused!

I don't know if there's some loophole they get through since these are the US editions. But either way, it's on them if they get fined, I've got my copy so I'm happy

Watching the movie now after going through the special features (awesome and informative)...seriously, Bane must be hooked up to a sound system of some kind in the prologue - his calm talking is louder than shouting CIA agents, explosions and gunfire

Exactly, they wouldn't be allowed to sell the UK editions, but they sell the US editions to the UK only, so that's yeah, a loophole basically.

Hey I found a few downloadable versions of the movie, but either I'm being stupid or the aspect of the film dosent seem right. It dosent seem to be in the typical widescreen format that the other Nolan movies were in, instead it fills the entire screen, is this right? Cheers

Yes, it's right. It's because a lot of the movie (I think over an hour of it) was shot in IMAX format. IMAX film's aspect ratio is extremely close to a full screen ratio.

Which is honestly rather obnoxious, IMO. It just seems messy. I would've rather Nolan had used a ratio closer to IMAX's for all of the non-IMAX scenes.

If you saw it in IMAX in theaters, it was the same way.

I thought as much. Thanks guys, are all the dvds converted like this? Otherwise I think I'd rather wait till the full widescreen version.

There is no "full widescreen version". The IMAX ratio is how it was originally filmed. There aren't any widescreen prints for the scenes that are in full screen.

Anyone know what date TDKR will be hitting all of the digital marketplaces? Usually it's like a week before the hard copy release.

It'll be good when we get this one in a larger size and without the pause logo.
