Got a new phone, watched some good movies and found out my Dad is coming a day earlier than I originally expected him. I haven't seen him in a year and he's driving down from Denver to spend Spring Break with me.

Opened up the skull of a juvenile hammerhead shark and showed the brain to a bunch of students. Was shocked at how big it was. Pretty awesome. First time exposing a shark's brain, and I didn't mutilate it. Great success.

Never would have thought in the "what made you happy" thread that I'd read about someone de-braining a shark. Still, pretty rad.

Reminds me of anatomy in the bio lab in high school, sadly I didn't get to dissect one

That my manger just told me that I'm getting hired on permanent, after only being a temp for a month. I was supposed to be a temp for 3 months but as usual I bust my ass and impress.

My third week here I was already working faster than some of the people who have been here a few years. This is probably the easiest job I've ever had, no stress at all.

I just started a new job as a game production artist. My boss called me in to his office to clarify some stuff with my (first) paycheck. He accidently paid me for the 2 days before I started. I told him it's fine just take it out of the next paycheck. He said forget it. Just keep the money and mention it to no one.
