That was great, despite all the talking from theatregoers. And we finally got to hear Russell! Not what I expected, but not bad.

How did any of you watched that trailer? The sound is awful, and the quality of the video is so bad. Most of the time the person who filmed it, didn't even hold the camera straight and you just see 1/3 of the screen.
I stopped it on the 1:30 mark. |

No no no I'm not going to watch it .... please ....
I know Les Mis almost by heart but sometimes I tend to mix up lyrics. Some examples include: - Yes, there's a child and the child is my trouble! - With a husband at home that you never can match! - Death to each and every traitor, and God's blessing be with you! |

OK, I watched it. Russell's voice was sooo funny ... but it wasn't bad indeed. It had the necessary strength.
But trailer was too short... maybe I'll see it in HD on the big screen in just a few hours time, who knows ... |

Just realized that this old bootleg has clips that aren't in the official release, plus it begins with Hathaway singing "Shame" in IDAD culmination.... absolutely love it! There's a real anger in it... And this fan-made trailer is kindla cool: http://youtu.be/k36kHy1slnw Last edited by Earthland; 11-04-2012 at 10:53 AM. |

Agreed, too, it almost makes me cry... we heard a little bit of "Izzie". But little Cossette didn't go for "la-la-la" in the musical, did she? And what's that scene where little Cossette is looking through the veil that has a cross on it?
Anyway, I'm becoming tired or Hathaway's IDAD that is most prominently featured in every trailer and clip. It's only 5/152 of the movie ![]() I don't catch what is whispered at the end of the TV spot? Something about someone being safe? (I hate dialogue, too) Last edited by Earthland; 11-07-2012 at 02:21 AM. |

Cosette sings Castle on Cloud like that after she meets Valjean, they both sing it as they're 'talking' after they meet. They did it after leaving the Thernardiers too, but that's been changed in later versions of the stage version. Valjean and Cosette hide in a convent after leaving the Thernardiers. That's what that shot of Cosette is from. I'm ready to hear another song too. But this is the most recognizable one, and this is the first TV spot.

The shot of little Cosette through the veil might also be from when Fantine is dying and hallucinating that Cosette is nearby, during "Come to Me".

aah... too much dialogue! "One day more" all wrong ... it feels as if it isn't a musical at all! But I'm still impressed... love Seyfried.

How can you say that where we see people singing the majority of the trailer?

Yes, but 80 % of the movie people singing and 20 % of talking doesn't mean "sung-through musical" any more. And being sung-through was the strength of Les Mis, it always have been, the only thing that made even those love it who otherwise hated musicals....
