Why do you keep assuming that Beast's different look in Fc was because of evolution You still haven't answer my question yet if you think they didn't ignore Beast's look in X3 or not. Reality: Fox is not good with keeping continuity.
Fantasy: Professor X made you see it that way. It's evolution. It's a different timeline. He just balded in certain places.

They won't change beasts look to much, just improve on it in some way for obvious reasons

I think the problem with Kelsey Grammer beast is that he basicly had Kelsey Grammer face covered all over in blue hair and i think the idea for first class was to change hank into something that he was hardly recognisable anymore which would make it tragic

Whatever reason they want to come up with in the actual film (if they do mention one) we know for a fact Vaughn it did it simply because he hated Kelsey Grammer's Beast make-up. He said as much in the media (and I think in the blu-ray extras).

He then turns around and comes up with *that* monstrosity! LOL

This is why i hate when directors ignore things that were shown in the previous films and then they try to give their own take just because they think its better. But they just really mess up the continuity of the movies.

Actually, I think they changed it. That was one of my favorite shots of Beast from the trailers, but I don't believe it made it into the film. I know they said they redid some of the scenes with Beast, because the higher ups weren't happy with the makeup. At the time, I wondered if that was one of those scenes, because I actually prefer the way he looks in the trailer. Or perhaps they just used a different take or the lighting is different.

Here is the scene from First Class. From here, Beast goes into the roar and the two versions never really do line up, nor does it match the later scene of the jet crashing into the beach.



Again, the makeup is something I hope they improve upon. I know they had a difficult time with the face and Hoult being able to emote.

Yikes! I actually do remember seeing that shot from the trailer when it came out and liking how Beast looked in that one. Why they changed it to the one that you just posted we'll never know.

I just checked. It's because of the roar. Because the makeup limited Hoult's ability to move his mouth much, they replaced it with a digital face.

Save for issues I have with the face, I think it's better than The Last Stand. The attention to detail is better, and at least Beast looks like a beast. For the most part, Grammer looks like Grammer in blue paint.

Outside of the speaking problem, the make up for Beast in FC is leaps and bounds better than in X3. He looks fantastic as far as I'm concerned. All they need to do it fix the mouth. If that means simply going digital for the mouth, then fine.

Perhaps just leave just his face open in the suit, and cgi over it. The rest is make up, but the face is digital. That could work.

Agreed. I've always hated the Kelsey Grammar getup, he looked like someone in facepaint and a furry coat...

Beast's best moments were when his mouth (or face) were CGd. The difference between "it didn't attack the cells, it enhanced them" and "DON'T MOCK ME" is jarring. Hope they strike the right balance there. Really hope they keep his look generally the same for continuity's sake though, and not suddenly switch from blue-lion-face to angry-smurf-face.

I want January to return because she's Emma in this movie-verse. I don't care that she was ...bland..and cold. I mean, Bryan Singer I think is a better director so he could give her better things to do. I hate recasting and hate continuity errors and for a movie that's supposed to "fix" continuity errors and link established actors together, it would be a mistake to recast a character just introduced. And it would be silly to not have her in this seeing as how the last film ENDED with her.

I don't get why people didn't like January, the flaws in her character was mostly in the writing and the direction. She looked great as Emma, and acted good.
