I don't see them redoing Rogue's origin in this film or later.

If Disney gets ahold of the Xmen property 10 or 15 years from now, I would be willing to bet money they change the origin to one more aligned with the comic books.

So with all these characters you don't think the film will get convoluted?

Exactly. The guy just can't move forward. What about all the other characters from First Class? I guess they get the shaft.

Well, yeah, when Disney gets it back. But, they're not getting it back anytime soon. Fox is going to hold to X-Men as long as they can.

That's why this film is so important. It sets everything straight for Fox from here on out.

I really hope you're right about this.

Agreed.

Those were the castings I was most worried about besides Marsden and Janssen.

SOOOOO glad to see they'll be back.

I didn't know if anyone was familiar with the concept. The 5 original Xmen ended up leaving and working for a government sponsored team called X Factor. The series introduced Apocalypse, Mister Sinister, and a clone of Jean Grey named Madelyne Prior, the mother of Cable.

Adapted for the film series, it could use the First Class team leaving and joining X Factor, leading to spin off film series.

Exactly.

Very true. Haha. I guess I'm getting too far ahead of myself on this. Can't believe we have another year before we see anything from this movie.

fingers crossed.

I like to believe that Singer, Fox and Millar want to please the fans a bit more this time, and after Anna's role on True Blood, I find a bit hard to see them doing a worse job with Rogue, compared to her sexy/funnier role on the show.

I know, Rogue wont act like Sookie now of a sudden, but I doubt Singer portray her as an insecure teenager again.

X3 was on 2006, we're on 2013 now, so the character CANT act the same

Same here man. Especially Pacquin and Paige.

I hope the costumes are more along the lines of this:

IMO, it wouldn't make sense for the to start in the past with the FC time period.

Maybe they'll start in the Apocalyptic Future and the beginning of Sentinel attack is told through the flashbacks of the X1 - X3 characters.

I personally think that there will be someone from the present x1 - x3 time period that goes back and alters something, causing the apocalyptic future (perhaps they do something leading to the creation of the sentinels). However it goes, I don't think that whatever happens in the past will directly affect the X-Men in a way that all of the events from X1 - X3 will be erased or drastically altered.

I do expect other things in their world to be slightly eskew. Though, maybe in not in the way they notice and maybe in a way that leads to future stories.
There was an idea that JFK's murder was blamed on mutants or that Magento was directly involved in some way. This would tie the film into history once again and be a jumping off point for the government to start mutant registration.

I don't think that whatever the event in the past is should trigger an immediate response. Something like that surely would.

that drawing looks cool!

about movie verse... too much colour together, lol, but I think a great team could find a way to make them a bit less comicbookie and more set in the realistic world, even having still colours.

FC costumes worked because they all had the same colours, but having each x-man with a totally different tone could look bad, with the wrong tones.

Darker green and red would help, Im sure. X-men using costumes with darker colours with a badass/current design would look amazing on the big screen.

The Avengers pulled off some extreme color variances and it worked.

I'm sure it could be done in Xmen.

The folks at FOX in charge of the X franchise had the opportunity to do a hard reboot with First Class and instead chose to create a prequel, so what makes all of you think that they're going to turn around and use the sequel to First Class to do a 'soft' reboot by creating a new timeline?
