I don't want to derail this thread off DC, but how have you been enjoying the new Legacy series? I just picked up issue 2 but haven't read it. I love SW but the comics can occasionally leave me cold. Issue 1 of Legacy, however, really impressed me. Ania seems like she has a lot of potential.

I was planning on stopping Green Lantern after #20, I wonder...is this a good idea? I have no clue who is taking over from Johns.

I missed the entirety of the original Legacy series so I was little lost at first(but I plan on getting the hardcover collection coming out!) but I love it! I've read both issues and really like Ania, there is another character in the second issue who I really like and hope becomes a main character. Star Wars comics can be partially difficult if you haven't been with a particular series from the beginning. But I think the story-arcs alone are easy to follow its just the period and stuff referenced may be confusing. I just started reading Dark Times though and that doesn't seem to really reference past stuff...I think.

I'm debating on this as well. I overspend my budget monthly and this would be a great jumping off point, but I do like Hal. I feel like Johns' time was definately up on the title, but he's all I've ever read. I might love another person's take on the book. I figure I'll skim issue 21 and decide from there.

Did GL #20 come out? I know it was scheduled for May 1, but when I went to my store today, it wasn't in my box and there were none on the racks.

Yep. Extra big issue so it took longer to write I guess.

Thanks. I had seen it a few places that it was originally going to be released 5/2. Oh well, it was $8 less for me to spend today. After spending more than I should have Saturday at FCBD, that's probably a good thing.

Yeah, I saw Green Lantern Corps was an aftermath issue and it made me wonder if I somehow missed it. Good to know I didn't, though a lighter week like this would have been ideal for a rediculous $8 comic to fall on.

I kinda wish they would stop relaunching everything just because they can. The same goes for Marvel.

I guess DC is introducing the "Masters of the Universe" to the New 52 this fall.

When hasn't he?

I grew up watching the show (the Christmas Special is on my DVD player every year,) but, that look is pretty consistent in all of the iterations of the series.

well, the character design looks dumb. and whoever did that art looks like they did a pretty craptacular job. whos craptacular art is that, benes?

also, what is the point of depicting the good guys fighting each other? ever. why not depict superman and he-man teamed up against the bad guys? since, you know, that makes sense.

Because crossovers aren't about the villains, so they won't waste space on the promotional material showing them.

I'm pretty sure He-Man looks stupid as a matter of principle. Looking stupid is what makes him iconic.

Lots of cancellations, is DC still keeping up with having 52 New 52 titles at one time?

The Larfleeze back-up sucked, but I liked the main story.

I wouldn't say it sucked, but it was kind of disappointing. Too many other characters crowding the story and taking time away from Larfleeze being Larfleeze.

The main story was okay but I kind of got disappointed when LEGION showed up, apparently teasing a Vril Dox appearance, but then it turned out to be original recipe Brainiac instead. It was a bit hard to go back to just the random cosmic nobodies after getting excited for Vril. The Blue Beetle issue was good, though. Felt almost like the old Jaime.

Oh well, I'll miss it. I wasn't reading any of the other canceled series, so I don't really care about them. My pull list shrinks a bit further.
