Little is known about the life of the adventurous Yukio before she became an assassin for the Japanese crimelord Lord Shingen, leader of Clan Yashida. As part of Shingen’s campaign against the mutant hero Wolverine, Yukio drugged Wolverine and brought him before Shingen who proceeded to shame him in battle. Later, Yukio manipulated Wolverine into helping her kill Shingen’s rival Katsuyori. Attracted to Wolverine, Yukio chafed at his love for Shingen’s daughter Mariko, but nevertheless saved Mariko’s life when her abusive husband threatened her.

I was going to create a thread for her when I saw the CinemaCon trailer.

She looks bad-ass and fierce!

I'm interested to see how she's portrayed in the film. I hope they capture the recklessness of the character in the comics. There's a great moment in the Kitty Pryde and Wolverine mini where she leaps off a cliff, knowing the wind will blow her back and kick an opponent. It really shows how crazy she is. Hopefully they portray something of that.

My worry is that she could end up a generic female ninja type.

She looks bad ass, but I would've really liked the usual comic book look for Yukio. That character is so darn cool, they really didn't need to change anything.

I actually prefer this one. He comic look is a pretty plain one, this one has more character.

If I were ever to make a ninja film (or any film really), I would do an entire sequence on a Japanese motorway with ninjas on motorbikes.
