Assassin´s Creed III - Part 2 - Page 4

Well, looks like the storm has screwed me over. I'm hearing every midnight release has been cancelled on the East Coast because of the storm. I've tried calling my gamestop, where I pre-ordered it, and they don't pick up. I think the state of alert is still up for tomorrow, I'm hearing that most gamestops will be closed tomorrow as well.

So, I might not even be able to pick this up until Halloween. Kind of a shame, because I could really dive into the game with the free time I might have tomorrow.

Thought it was just the northeast? Sucks either way though.

Im gonna leave work during lunch to go get this and the first thing Im gonnna do is a system restore to the backup of my PS3, I had. That should take about 4 hours and be done by the time I get home in the afternoon

I think I'm going to get this for the 360 instead of PS3. I just like the 360 controller better than the PS3, especially the shoulder buttons.

Damn the closer it gets to midnight the harder its gonna be for me to not just run out to Walmart and snag a copy. UPS prob wont drop my copy off until around 5 and considering i have no class tomorrow. Id have like all night to play this sucker. DAMN MY IMPATIENCE!

Yea same here, Gamestop actually just called me to let me know that it's gonna be closed until conditions are safe again

I have a friend who works in some game store (most likely Gamestop) and she's been talking on facebook about already playing it.

You wouldn't believe the amount of asshats that were calling and YELLING at my friends at EB today because they couldn't get the game at Midnight. I can understand being bummed... but to insult EB employees over the phone because of the hellacious storm going on all day is pathetic.

The worst thing is having games journo friends. I've been watching them play AC 3 and Halo 4 all week.

I've just finished AC II & now completing all the tombs & feathers. The historical puzzles & that scene you get when you see all the glyphs is awesome. Hope there's a lot more stuff like that in the later games. My AC III should arrive any day but I need to finish Brotherhood & Revelations before I start

To be honest though, I would probably do the same if I had premordered mine, especially since there's one 5 mins away from me in an area that is not a direct threat for any serious flooding or anything. But man, if I could stay home all day tomorrow with nothing to do, I would want my copy of ACIII too.

How is the free running in the cities. I liked the other games because the buildings were close together. These you would think are not so close together. Saw a vid talking about this amd them putting in trees to compensate for this. So is it even noticable or just feels like same ole free running? Either way I'm excited. I just always liked running on the rooftops.

but yeah.......I can understand how frustrating it is when you're so close to getting that game you've been waiting forever for, and then something unexpected comes up to complicate the situation.

but then......I've never been to a midnight release. I just wait till the next day..........lol

From what iv read its even more fluid than its ever been before. I think u just hold one button to free run.

Same here, I'm too lazy to go to a midnight release. Besides, every time I've pre-ordered, I've done it from Amazon and they would usually deliver by Tuesday night, which would be perfect timing for me to get home in time to receive the delivery.

Haha I'm not sure I can even wait that long. The game will be delivered to me sometime tomorrow but I really wanna run out at midnight to snag a copy

say......isn't PS3 doing day 1 digital downloads? are they doing that for AC 3?

I can imagine that would come in handy in a situation like this......
