Yeah, I too think think he's alive. I was half expecting him to open his eye when Green Arrow was staring at him. I think it's a safe bet that he may just come back with a bionic eye.

I didn't know about the episode 5 synopsis. Thanks for the heads up. I hope Deathstroke is at least a recurring villain in the show.

Have they dropped when he'll show up in the episode proper and not just a flashback? If they don't do that, I think it would be a complete misuse of the character.

I think it's obvious from the promo that Deathstroke's only going to appear in flashbacks I'm gonna hazard a guess that he won't have any dialogue either. I bet when they bring him back they use an actual actor cause the guy playing him is a bit part actor/stuntman.

Does anyone remember that one episode on Smallville where they featured Ollie's time on the island? Even back then it was a sort of flashback/present-time double-narrative going, kind of like what we're seeing here. Seeing as how David Nutter was involved, I wonder if there was some relation?

And if so, I wonder if there's any future plans to make use of all these guest-appearances from the rest of DCU (y'know, other than the fact that GA comics always featured characters from around DCU anyway).

I am very eager to see a proper translation of Deathstroke the Terminator, or at the very least showing the character wearing the mask. Always loved the character design.

The look of Deathstroke's mask on film wasnt as good as in stills. I loved everything about his costume, and his mask was faithful, but it looked kinda cheap.

Cant wait to see him more, i dont mean to complain, any appearance of Deathstroke is a good thing

I agree, since the stills game out I thought tehy should give him a more solid mask than a cloth material.

Still, he did looked great and GA1/Deathstroke fight was awesome. One of the only saving graces of this episode, for me.

Yeah, I assume this is a change they're making. This show isn't going to delve into Deathstroke's backstory--Ollie taking out his eye gives him impetus for revenge in a future episode when they clash.

Deathstroke is done to perfection as this is what Smallville's version should have been. I'd rather they keep the mask on to give a sense of mystery surrounding him.

No, it will happen between this episode's flashback and when Ollie finally got off the island. It didn't happen yet, but it probably will, and probably at Ollie's hands.

Deathstroke's costume looked somewhat better in motion I thought. It's still a bit underwhelming/minimalist (I wish Arrow had a better costume designer), but it still manages to make him look imposing without looking too silly which is sort of the main point. I just wish the costume could look a little cooler, be a little more flamboyant, but still keep the psuedo-real world feel.

I felt his fight was quite nice, but it was quite short, as was his entire role. Really annoyed that there was so much hype/hope surrounding his character and essentially he was playing second fiddle at best. Though I still have hope for his character in the future.

I expect people may be right when they suggest that the actor/stuntman who played him isn't meant to be Deathstroke for the entire series. Perhaps they're planning to reveal who the voice or actor playing him for real is later on. Which makes me wonder what is the possibility of Barrowman being the unmasked Deathstroke?
