I do hope they bring Quantum back in the next one. I do like how the Craig films are sort of following the Connery ones. The 1st and 2nd films connected dealing with a terror organisation (DrNo, FRWL/CR,QOS), the 3rd film having nothing to do with said terror organisation (GF/SF). So I hope that they do bring Quantum back for Craig's 4th outing. I just hope he's not tired of the role by his 5th like Connery was.

Losing Daylight It would begin with Bond confronting Quantum's Leader. They talk for a bit until a bullet kills said leader, a sniper from a Helicopter. Bond Spends the movie investigating leads and finds that Spectre and Qauntum have been in War and Quantum is now under Spectre Control. We would have a Main villian, maybe a New Largo. We would get a Hint at BloFeild, would be old school don't see his face type of Cameo. I would want Craig and Co. Back, With Gandolfini as the Villain, Scott Adkins as the Henchmen. Yvonne Strahovski and Zoe Saldana as Bond Girls. Directed by Tomas Alfredson. Florence Welsh for the theme song. |

Yeah, I want the next film to go back to Quantum. The scene in Quantum of Solace when Mr. White chuckles at the fact that world agencies didn't even know that Quantum existed left much to be desired.

SPECTRE is not necessary anymore. Let Quantum be it's own thing.

My take oncontunity Is EON wants to blur the line between reboot and being
part of same series. Thus Skyfall was 23rd bond film.As 007 legends and game remake of Goldeneye hint after QOS alternate versions of Dr No through Die Another Day happened the major differences Is Judi dench was M throughout them all,and there was no Moneypenny. Thus Craig's Bond did face off against Dr No,Goldfinger, and Blofeld and did fall In love, and marry Tracy and she was killed by Blofeld.Quonturm might replace Spectre. Thus Blofeld was or Is head of Quonturm. Q seems like In Skyfall to be someone who would be modern day successor to classic Q Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:
M Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:
Bond 24 should be a saving the world type of Mission with Bond sleeping with bad girl during mission and good girl at end. |

If the producers could ever get over the hang up of casting an american as james bond (although they've come close in the past), i would think physically jon hamm probably exemplifies bond more than any other actor right now (aside from craig).
Would anyone disagree with that? At least in reference to his appearance.

Jon Hamm is cool as **** but I'm not sure about him being Bond. The thing is I don't know of any American actor being able to do a convincing English accent.

For God sakes, let the English keep some of their classic properties faithfully English.
Bond should stay being played by an Englishman. Bond is an Englishman through and through. Keep him that way.

Cubby always felt that way, that Bond shouldn't be played by an American, yet that never stopped them from considering it. Can you imagine Burt Reynolds uttering the words..."Bond, James Bond."

I'd actually wouldnt mind Q being with Bond on at least part of the mission of the new film. I really liked the interaction between the two in this one.
I also wouldnt mind seeing Eve return to fieldwork either

1.) With Bill Tanner and the new 'usual suspects' (Q, New M, and Moneypenny) they've added to the Bond cast, I hope John Logan can balance everyone out so they don't end up as the usual stock characters the in lesser formulaic Bond films.
Keep the supporting characters human. Give them things to do, including Tanner who got to shine a bit more in Skyfall. 2.) Adding to giving Q being a part of a mission with Bond, perhaps it's time for Felix to come back.

Does Superman being played by Henry Cavil make him an Englishman? Theoratically, an American can play Bond and still be an Englishman. You know, acting and all. The tricky part is finding an American who can convincingly play one. He would have to be an unknown. A recognisable actor wouldn't work.

Didn't producers want Michael Mann at one point? Didn't they discuss this with him?
Some 8-10 years back. Maybe I'm mistaken. |

Bond is exclusive to England. I get acting, but there is authenticity which would be nice to maintain. Bond is English to the bones. I don't mind Sherlock Holmes being played by RDJ, but it's always nice for some things to stay authentic, as Holmes could have been. It's like Harry Potter and some of the cast being American. For authenticity sake, they should keep it. Because God knows a lot of stuff becomes Americanized anyway. I'm not one for "TRADITION!!!" but there has been a nice streak of consistent English actors. I would like to keep it that way. I'm not even English and I would like to see Bond remain in England. Why fake it when you can have the real thing that's always been there? Especially since they've come this far with consistency.

Some rich guy isn't at his private estate figuring out what the acronym for his secret criminal organization will stand for.
Quantum is fine. SPECTRE is corny. SPECTRE is with HYDRA and COBRA. This is how you could finally have a James Bond film take place in Australia or Canada. Vancouver has been used for countless locations, a 10 minute scene involving Quantum is possible if one of them is in Vancover. After being exposed, certainly Quantum will be much quieter in what they do. Quote:

I don't really want to see Camille again. She was a weak character.
I'm sure with Skyfall being the biggest modern Bond release of all time they are going to work quickly to lock everyone up for the next movies. The thing is there is not really much else for Moneypenny to do now at this point where they leave her in the film. Jon Hamm, I wouldn't mind seeing him as a villain as a type of anti-Bond or Bond-doppleganger. But Bardem was already sort of playing that in this movie. Though Hamm's would be much more similar to Bond like Toby Stephens in Die Another Day. Could also see him being the head of Quantum, but I'm under the impression that Quantum has been dealt with.

You can't sit there and be adamant for Bond and Harry Potter to remain English yet not mind Robert Downey Jr. portraying Sherlock Holmes. If anything, Downey Jr. is the best contemporary example as to why an American can be Bond. Let's also remember that Bond has already been portrayed by a Scotsman, Irishman, and an Aussie. That's not very authentic is it? If an American can get the accent down, there is no problem.

I find this "American 007" topic to be interesting. This discussion doesn't belong in this thread, but I dare go a little off-topic.
There have been several US actors, also Canadian ones, who could have worked as James Bond. Robert Redford is one of them, he could have done it during Moore's era. None of you will agree on this, because it's very hard to picture old Rob as Agent 007. But trust me. Others are Burt Reynolds (without trademark mustache) and Adam West (The American Roger Moore). |

Well didn't the original TV Casino Royale movie have an American James Bond?
I think maybe some day the actor could be American but the character would remain British. I think we'd see a black actor playing James Bond before an American.
