That doesn't mean people will still believe Alfred is dreaming it though

I'm sure. There are fans who are told things in a factual way by the people involved in the movie, and they still refuse to believe it and stick with their own ideas

Probably cause they think their own ideas are better than Nolan's.
Wouldn't be the first time fans do it with a director. |

He makes a good point there. In Batman Returns I only see Gotham (Plaza) as a soundstage, lol

Not saying it's better but just as Nolan wanted to expand the canvas, Burton wanted to descrease it and tell a simpler story of psychological mindgames between his three (four?) characters.

The actor who plays Dagget is cringeworthy. He walks and talks like some of those poor people who were looting the rich than a corporate CEO. And what's wrong with his upper lips every time he opens his mouth? Nolan should've cast a more appropriate actor. But then again, who would take that useless role?

Dagget was cast perfectly imo, he's supposed to be someone you dislike, a sniveling pompous little creep. When Bane kills him I always get my satisfaction that he's dead, the guy played the role well.

Pfeiffer-Pfan, I agree with you as well regarding the scope of the Burton/Nolan films. They are different approaches, but both work very well. |

I also agree with both of you on this, both were done by the director with the purpose of making the audience feel a certain way and yes, both were done perfectly.

Watching it right now and I am going to miss the interactions between Bale and Caine/Freeman.

I really have a love hate relationship with that ending. So much I dislike about it... and yet it is so emotionally effective...

There is nothing about it I didn't like, also seeing that in IMAX was just amazing (hell the entire movie but you get the point).

The thing I hated about that scene was how he clearly jerks his hands to break his neck but then it cuts to Dagget's right hand man(that frog faced guy)and you can hear Dagget muffled screaming in the background.
********! You break someone's neck like that, they're dead! |
