So, we all know C-3PO and R2-D2 are likely to return. I want to throw a 3rd Droid into the mix, but on the side of the opposite faction.

I want an Assassin Droid based on HK-47 from the KOTOR games.

I wouldn't mind a droid cybernetic revolt, similar to the Cylons or Thinking Machines of Dune. I just wouldn't make the droids the "Big bad".

There has to be a puppet master.

Or maybe HK-47 himself! According to canon, he survived thousands of years after what happened in KOTOR.

That would be awesome if they could include HK-47 himself.

We might as well throw Revan in there too. His disappearance was ambigious.

He could be the Sith'ari and the ultimate puppet master.

No way. Revan redeemed himself at the end of KOTOR. Why would he go back to the dark side knowing what he did as a Sith Lord?

HK-47 would be awesome, as well as Revan. I think HK-47 has a bit more of a chance of actually making an appearance. But I don't think we'll see any of KOTOR. At least, not until 7-9 are finished.

I think they should do a KOTOR movie trilogy after they finish Episodes 7-9.

What if he was a good Sith? I know that sounds kind of crazy, but think about the fact that there are Dark Jedi. What if the opposite was true for the Sith?

Revan was balanced in the ways of the force, dark and light.

Screw Revan. HK-47 is who we really need.

Yeah. It would be interesting to see HK calling members of the Skywalker clan "meatbags".

So I came across a article that had apparently been released on November 9, and this part really caught my attention:

Quote:
Arndt had written a 40- to 50-page treatment that will bring the saga of the Skywalkers, the Force-imbued family comprising Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader and twins Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia Organa, to a close in a new trilogy. The story is said to focus on a new generation of heroes and would feature appearances by Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher in older incarnations of their beloved characters from the original Star Wars trilogy.
Source: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hea...michael-388424

So does that mean that the Skywalker family may still be prominent within the upcoming new trilogy? Or is it possible that they'll all be killed off, with the protagonist being the first Non-Skywalker related character within the series?

I could see a Rocky V-ish type of story, with the new Skywalker being Rocky's son and another character being Tommy Gunn.

Well the trilogy could always end with Luke faking his death and leaving instructions behind for his successor to find the Jedi Temple with the one and only lightsaber that's still left within the galaxy to be placed there with the closing shot being the successor being lifted up to the temple. lol

But yeah, on a serious note; I still do hope that the skywalkers are featured somewhat prominently; it would feel a bit weird to go on two trilogies with them as the featured family but with the third and final one having a new set of people altogether with Luke and Leia being the last surviving breed of the old days.

One thing they can take from the EU is Leia being a prevalent politician or even a Head of State for the New Republic. Bam, perfect excuse to get her in small doses and away from major action scenes (of course, an attack in the Senate House with Leia escaping would be doable).

Luke's part is more obvious than Lindsay Lohan's ****tiness.

Han is the trickiest, imo.

Plus, this all depends on whether they want to have the three main protagonist of the Original Trilogy to have enjoyed a large time of peace prior to the events of the Sequel trilogy, or to have only have it for so briefly before enduring harsh and painful losses.

Han could have been killed off prior to the events of the Sequel trilogy, with his death resulting in Leia becoming disillusioned and stepping down from things. Maybe they never had kids in this official canon.

Hell, with such a large gap between Episode 6 and 7, Disney would be idiots to not make a animated tv show that chronicles the events of the period in between those two chapters like how they're doing with the Clone Wars now.

True that, although I'd hate for Han to get the Henry Jones Sr. treatment. I get it for Indy4, but not here.

That is true; if they follow the traditional Star Wars formula of having one major death at the beginning of each trilogy, then Han (and Leia even) could be the factor that provides that major emotional tragic beat if he was the one to bite the dust, especially if it happened within the Falcon.

Yup, they ram the enemy ship with the Falcon, holding hands.

That would be heartbreaking and tragic on a EPIC scale if done right.

I imagine that Luke would bite the dust somewhere within the last film, potentially before the climax so that the new protagonist has to face off against the main villain on his own.

Or you can do the NJO final showdown, where Luke faces the brawn and the new guy faces the brain of the bad guys. And the other main characters face armies.

I don't know if I'd cry more for Han and Leia or for the Falcon!
