I'd love Williams to return. If someone else does it, I'd be fine with it. Just as long as they capture the *feel* of Star Wars, with this feeling musically apart of the same series.

HGW bringing his MGS4 & KoH game could be masterful. MGS4 was one of the best sounding..anythings I've ever heard.

Yeah, we better be. Perhaps it's just because the Disney takeover thing almost makes it feel like a rival franchise. But it's not.

Indeed. Plus, those guys have been pretty cool with Feige and Marvel and Lucas has an even more special relationship with them. I think we're good.

Giacchino if Williams can't return. My next choices would be Silvestri or Desplat - so long as the Force theme and the original theme return - oh and Han/Leia theme.

Giacchino is a good choice, but if they wanted to try something different, Bear McCreary or Philip Glass would be interesting.

EDIT: His name's Joel McNeely and he hasn't doen anything big in a while, so I'm sure he'd be easy to lock down. His music is great, and he's really affordable. He's definitely got my #1 pick after Williams.

If I had to chose another it would be Jeremy Soule, he did the music for Knights of the Old Republic/Elder Scrolls III, IV, and V. And many more, he is an amazing composer. However, I still think Michael would be the logical choice.
