Suit up ideas!

In Iron Man 2 there was the suitcase suit-up, in The Avengers there was the mid-air suit up, lets throw around some idea for the spectacular suit up scene in Iron Man 3!

One I think could look pretty cool is an underwater suit up, the effects of the water against the pressure of the suit building around Tony would be great visually.

I think just any scene with him suiting up "telepathically" would be awesome. But I remember someone mentioning that a scene where Tony is being attacked and he summons his suit telepathically but in like pieces. He starts off with the repulsors and starts blasting the bad guys then the thrusters and starts and uses that then the chest piece and uses the uni beam and then when he is done he puts on the mask. And it'd be awesome if the camera does like a Matrix 360 degree thing while he suits up.

One idea that I just came up with that might be relatively interesting would be if Tony was unarmored and caught in the midst of a series of explosions as his armor flew around telepathically to him, never quite getting a good look at it coming together. Then as the smoke and dust clears there he is in all his armored glory.

The suit's pieces fly toward him and attach.

While this is happening, he never stops running at all.

Here's a thought, in light of the strongly rumored "army of armors" element. Towards the end of the movie, the big climactic scene, all hope seems lost, blah blah. Tony confronts the Mandarin, and its just him in an open field. And then, to everyone's surprise except Tony, armor begins descending from the sky, a veritable rain of steel. As they fall to the ground, the pieces align and assemble into armor after armor after armor. . . *except* on Tony, who stands in the center, until his full army has assembled about him. Only then, after Tony has conjured his wizard's army, does his own armor descend, sliding into place around him.

Some good ideas in here but this one in particular sounds like it would be visually spectacular on a whole other level!

Maybe he's riding in his car or motorcycle and it transforms, uh transformer-like, into the armor around him.

I agree on the assembling mid-fight - first thought when I read the OP. Show Stark scrambling to give himself time for more pieces to arrive!

Armour pieces flying in and knocking into baddies along the way, knocking them off their feet etc giving Stark time to suit up

I like the idea of having a mechanism that armors him up in his car like the 1990's TV series or Mr. Incredible with his suit in The Incredibles. Hope we see something like that.

my idea was originall to copy the mk5 sequence (suitcase) but then thought nah thats been done... then i had an idea for having him deploy suit in freefall as i have been skydiving for 5-6 years but then avengers came out and they batted that out the park... then i thought "ah it'd be cool to have him deploy suit in a car!!". I started that around january of this year and have been working on it since hehehe! I'm about 3 shots from completion so i wanted to share it with you all hope you like!

Had another idea it's not a suit up idea but it invovles tony using different pieces from the other previous iron men suits and uses them in a fight against Coldblood or whatever Character Dale plays. Maybe tony calls the suit pieces telepathically but Coldblood's suit is way more advanced and keeps breaking the Iron Man parts that Tony keeps calling and then Tony finally uses the new Armor
