So I really don't get the worries of it being on Disney Channel.

Disney wants the tone of the original series probably so I can't see them changing it to fit their current stuff THAT much like I'm seeing people running around screaming about on the rest of the internet.
I thought they stopped that years ago and just focus on their own shows created for the channel.

I could see them doing it. That's why I thought it was odd that they're saying it's going to be on Disney Channel as opposed to putting it on ABC (or more likely ABC Family).

Yes, because that's exactly what I'm thinking.

But, that doesn't seem to be the case. So...

Yum more Topanga is always good & Now she will get to be a M.I.L.F. Lets see if Cory & Topanga procreated immediately after the original show ended then their child could be about 10 or 11 years old by now, I wouldn't go much younger than that unless they can find a decent child actress.

i'm actually looking forward to this. hopefully the bring back Eric and Shawn. have Feeny, Eric & Corey's parents, and Shawn do some cameos here and there.

wonder if this new show will be set in NY instead of Philly since at the end of the series Eric, Topanga, Shawn, and Eric all went to NY.

At least I didn't say it was Full House-level bad.

I'd rather have a reunion then a new show, but hey this is still cool.

Haha. I love this show, so this is awesome news to me. A big part of my childhood was Boy Meets World... and Star Wars.

Sorry, that's not a Zack Morris doll, that's a cheap Chinese knockoff. It's actually a Sly Winkle doll, but many people make that mistake.

Boy Meets World got insanely good in the later seasons. More tongue in cheek and fourth wall breaking.

Saved by the Bell seems a whole lot better after watching a California Dreams episode.

This almost reminds me of American Reunion and, hopefully, more films from that series to follow lol - seeing these characters all through their lives.

I'd agree.

I'm not a huge fan of season 1, and I feel the show really took off once Cory entered high school. They introduced Mr. Turner and Harvey and his gang, which were characters that I enjoyed quite a bit. Shawn was given more to do in season 2 as well.

I'm cautiously optimistic given Disney's current track record, but hopefully they keep what worked in the original BMW and make it accessible to both fans of the old show and attract new viewers.

I think it would've been awesome if they brought the show back as if it had aged along with it's fans, and it was just all the characters hanging out as adults. Basically Happy Endings, but with BMW characters.

But they haven't done anything yet. Lets just wait and see.

My thoughts? If this ends up like those other Disney shows with bad writing and panders to the audience, I'm out.

I will tune in for the 1st episode though.

I wouldn't mind a BMW show with Cory's little brother as the focus.

See, I'm just the opposite. I loved the earlier seasons, but by the time Angela, and Jack showed up, and they started to go to college, it became " The Cory Loves Topanga Show ", and I got bored with it. But I still love show. It was great to see Blake Sopher " Ronny Pinsky " from " Salute your Shorts " as Joey the rat.

They re-run the show on ABCFamily, not Disney. I do think this would fit better on ABC Family. Maybe it will switch later on depending on the popularity. I remember " The New Leave it to Beaver " first aired on Disney, then switched over to TBS.
