I guess nobody saw the lost episode where Eric has a nervous breakdown and begins stalking Feeny.

Eric went from being the cocky, cool older brother, to being as dumb or maybe dumber than Jr. Kyle from " My Wife and Kids ".

I seem to recall reading on TV Tropes that Eric suffered a head injury at some point prior to his personality shift. Coincidence?

Pretty sure Eric went downhill after he graduated high school and didn't go to college. He started laying around the house and coming up with his own sitcoms in his head and playing them out. He didn't have any friends until Jack showed up I believe. He just got worse and worse. Season 5 is when the shift really started to happen I think. Season 6 he was insane. Insane Eric is the best, IMO.

Here's a really descriptive link on the mental decline of Eric Matthews. LOL

http://www.project-landmine.com/2012...eric-matthews/

Eric may have declined in smarts, but he always had a big heart and cared for his friends.

Then, you have the fans of the old show. Would they really be interested in watching a Disney Channel show for kids? I mean, I highly doubt it'll be like BMW. I'm sure there will be plenty of viewers at the start just out of curiosity.

So, overall I don't see much point in making it connected to BMW.

And without looking up their ages, Cory and Topanga seem young to be parents of a preteen. At least with the way these shows are when it comes to the ages of the parents.
True. Even in the show, during the plays with squirrels episode when they showed their future, they hadn't had a child until 2006.

Them having a preteen daughter would mean they had a child at least a year after the events of BMW, which ended in 2000.

As soon as I clicked the link, I looked at the first picture and started laughing. That Eric might as well never existed because when most people think of him, they think of the dumb/crazy one.

Maybe young parents will be something new for Disney Channel.

I think they should've went the route of Cory and Topanga just now having a baby and dealing with the changes that come with it. But I guess they want younger viewers for it...

Boy Meets Fatherhood. ha.

I follow the BMW cast that has twitter, none of them have mentioned anything about the show. I guess they may not be allowed to talk about it yet.

As others have said,I would be fine with this if it was on ABC Family or ABC,but Disney channel?Nah.

With that said If alot of the cast show up I will probably watch it no matter what.I still watch reruns here and there.

I don't know, I don't think ABC Family is all that much better than Disney, honestly.

**** like Melissa and Joey is Disney Channel quality humor.

They would be more willing to use more mature subject matter on ABC Family though.

Like for instance, you wouldn't see something like the "Sex, Lies and Videotape" episode of BMW on Disney.

They would touch sex as a subject matter EVER on Disney. From what I remember, the closest I they ever came to that on Disney was in one movie where the main characters (sisters) being virgins was a main plot point.

I believe it had Katherine Heigl and Danielle Harris in it.

I'd say the moment he started fantasizing about being a secret agent on a television show is when he began 'the turn'...

I really hope it's on ABC Family and not Disney. I didn't even think about that. It seems like it would be a better fit for ABCF.

Is Mr. Feeny still alive? I sure hope so.

So? They were probably, what, like 20-22 when it ended? They must've gotten busy quick if this kid is, I'm assuming, probably the same age as Cory was when Boy Meets World started.

Y'all are acting like this show has to be in PERFECT synch with real-life timeline.

All they have to do is say the original characters are 2-3 older than in real life. Not that big a leap

They did something like this with Saved by the Bell. It was called the new generation , brought back Belding , and was on saturday mornings.

I think it could work but not as many people will watch it.
